I'm probably the last person to figure it out, but I just got that the Strokes CD cover is a Spinal Tap reference (black velvet glove on a naked female). Anybody know of any other tributes/jokes on covers?

That's pretty damn cool. I love Spinal Tap, and probably would never have thought of that. Of course, I haven't seen the cover yet either.

Would it be controversial to say, in my opinion, Costello was more punk than Strummer was? Elvis, Grohl, and Lil' Steven were perfectly fine in London Calling, but it was an obvious strain on Springsteen.
