| #1 Posted on 11.9.05 1718.48 | Instant Rating: 8.51 | CBS also has a pretty traditional premiere week of Sept. 19-25. By the first of October, someone will be very whiny about how they cancelled "Joan of Arcadia" but green-lit (insert name of show here). I mean, even more whiny that normal because I'm sure it's already been said more times than I'd care to read.
Monday 19 Sept The King of Queens How I met Your Mother (N) Two and a Half Men Out of Practice (N) CSI: Miami
Tuesday 20 Sept NCIS
Tuesday 27 Sept The Amazing Race 8 (aka Amazing Race: Family Edition)
Tuesday 4 Oct Close to Home (N)
Wednesday 21 Sept Still Standing Yes, Dear CSI: NY
Wednesday 28 Sept Criminal Minds (N) preview Thursday 22 Sept
Thursday 15 Sept Survivor: Guatemala (aka Survivor 11)
Thursday 22 Sept CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Thursday 29 Sept Without a Trace
Friday 16 Sept Threshold (N)
Friday 23 Sept Ghost Whisperer (N) NUMB3RS
Saturday 24 Sept 48 Hours Mystery (locking up the cellar early, I see)
Sunday 25 Sept 60 Minutes (Season 38 - respect) Cold Case CBS Sunday Movie

HIMYM is the only new show out of this whole bunch I'll even consider watching. Plus, although I never watched Joan, isn't Ghost Whisperer practically the same show anyway?

My wife and I really did enjoy "Joan." We will not be checking out "Ghost Whisperer" that is now in Joan's slot. Nope, can't say I want to watch a Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle.
We will, however, be checking out Threshold before Numb3ers comes on.

How I Met Your Mother CSI CSI New York (maybe- started watching it last fall, and just couldn't get hooked)
I don't plan on checking out many new shows this year, but HIMYM has got pretty good reviews and looks interesting, so I'll prolly give it a chance.

If you didn't catch it the first time, it's well worth the bother. | Oliver

Ah, jeez...that's good news, but I'm working the afternoon shift. Just my luck, because my VCR died last week. This sucks.

| #8 Posted on 15.9.05 2049.51 | Instant Rating: 6.61 | PROGRAMMING UPDATE: Due to President Bush's 25-minute speech, CBS decided to pull "Grave Danger" from tonight's programming lineup in favor of running two episodes that ran this week on Spike.
Supposedly, "Grave Danger" will now run Wednesday night at 9E/8C, replacing a planned CSI repeat (tonight's first episode), as well as the season premiere of CSI:NY, which will have its season premiere delayed one week to September 28.
CBS.com hasn't modified the schedule for next Wednesday yet, though they did tonight's.

| #9 Posted on 16.9.05 0133.30 | Instant Rating: 8.46 | Oh good. I was all psyched for an encore presentation, and I DVR'd it for whilst I went out, as well as, to a lesser extent, about. And then I was like WHAT NO, I have a timer set up, Mister President. Thank god CBS made the call to evacuate in time.
With Smackdown out of the way, this is actually the first CSI season I'm going to watch as it happens instead of in large chunks on Spike TV. I'm pumped. Thanks, Palmer Cannon. | haz

...and if it is indeed played on CBS this coming Wednesday, we'll get chance number THREE to see it :-)
It is indeed good to be Canadian.
