The downside is that streams don't cover everything - NFL has it's own streaming deal so you won't be getting that - and a lot of that content used to be free on cbs.com and won't be any more. And if every network goes $6, you're not really saving money going that way over cable.
$5.99 seems a little high for WCCO without football for me.
