This looks pretty damn good! Heavy on set up, but the tone seems just right (I dig Chris Evan's 1940s era-appropriate Brooklyn accent) and we get to see more of everything - Cap in action, the costume, the shield, Red Skull, and Hydra.
Yup, this looks like it will be good. I doubt it will be an Iron Man-level hit, but it'll probably be a solid B/B+, just like Thor and Hulk were. It's awesome how much Marvel's film division 'gets it' on how to do these superhero movies. Keep it small, focus on the characters. It makes for tight films that may not be incredible, but all that work ought to pay off in The Avengers next year.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
I, on the other hand, am happy to see the Ponds go. Doctor Who, in the Amy Pond era, had turned into a situation comedy, with the Doctor becoming the wacky next-door neighbor in the mode of Cosmo Kramer.
