Since somebody actually opened this thread I can now ask a question that I though was stupid to start about the ole Capt. So here it goes...
How many of you out there in the wienerland remember the old Super Mario Brothers Super Show with him on it. I thought it was pretty cool for him to play Mario. I liked the cartoon better yet I thought it was an interesting show.
Hey look! My wiener is bigger than yours!
Banned Once! The independant thought alarm went off, knew to much about b*tching.

OH HELL YEAH! That show owned...too bad no old-school WWF guys ever did a run-in on Mario and Luigi. Plus, Friday's episodes were even better...Legend of Zelda cartoon episodes, baby!
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy. . . THE THRILL ACW-NWA Wisconsin Home Video Technical Director...& A2NWO 4 Life!
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter made appearances on the show at least.

Originally posted by NagHell yeah, that show was the shit. After the first year they hired those slacker dudes, which brought the quality down alot. BTW, did Link ever kiss Zelda? I missed the final episode!
The first year? Actually, I think the "Club Mario" skits aired on the second and last year that the old Super Mario cartoons aired. I also didn't like that Zelda 'toon on Fridays was "cancelled", so to speak. I hope my memory didn't fail me on this.
For me, the worst part about the skits w/Albano was that neither Mario brother could become "super."
Nota bene: and please let the board observe that Mr. JALman read Nag's post too fast...I gotta stop the trigger-happy urge to reply at three (or two, or four) in the morning when misreading someone's post. Sorry.
Whether Dusty Rhodes is well remembered today is one thing, but you can tell he had an impact because he's mentioned in a song by Outkast... "Time to drop these bows, like Dusty Rhodes / Then I yell ho!" That's how *I* know he's important!
