| #1 Posted on 8.8.04 1427.27 | Instant Rating: 0.61 | I turned on my television today and saw CannonBall (1976) thinking I was gonna see some Burt Reynolds car racing, I grabbed a beer. Unfortunately what I got was a David Carridiene (Revenge of the Nerds) led CannonBall. What's up wit that?
I was aware of the late 80s John Candy suckfest of a CannonBall movie, but had no idea that there was a pre-CannonBall suckfest.
Was anyone else aware of this movie, and is this what the CannonBall (Burt Reynolds) movies were based on?

John Candy was in "Speedzone" which is the unofficial sequel to "Cannonball Run 2". Try going to www.imdb.com sometime if you have questions like this, since it's a great resource. | TopTenPro

The question is still open, is Cannonball the basis for the CannonBall Run movies?
