Do I need a passport to go into Canada for a 2 day tourist visit? Some places online say yes, some say no. Can't make heads or tails of it from the State department website. Tried to call the Embassy to ask, but just got a directory listing and nobody answered the phone. Any help is appreciated. Promote this thread!

Some border states have some sort of specialized drivers license available for their residents that exempts this, but you won't apply to this.

You'd need to venture into Canada for that. (deleted by Reverend J Shaft on 25.6.16 0013) (resurrected by Reverend J Shaft on 25.6.16 0014)

Hopefully it's sufficient. I went several times as a kid, but my wife and kids haven't been

The bad news is that you and each member of your family will need a Passport. The good news is that you just need the cheaper Passport Card instead of having to get the more expensive Passport Book. https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/information/card/Difference-Between-Passport-Book-and-Card.html (edited by Kevintripod on 25.6.16 2308)

Do the passport card if it helps you avoid 80/90 in Ohio. Construction zones and single lane travel galore.
I got the Dell 4600 in March, and so far I've had no problems with it at all. It's Internet ready and setup was pain free. What's more, is I Haven't got the Blue Screen since I bought the thing. Which was an everyday occurrence on my HP.
