From the desk of Swordsman Yen
Let the smack talking begin. From ESPN.com:

A day after making basketball history, 7-foot-5 Yao Ming worked out with the Chinese national team and pledged one day to best Shaquille O'Neal.

"He is a mountain in my way," Yao said, referring to the Los Angeles Lakers' own 7-foot star. "I will try to conquer it by all means."

---

Can he be the one to give Shaq a battle? Or did he bite off more than he can chew?

Ha.

Ha.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You bet'cha. A skinny, though tall, Chinese dude is gonna best Shaq?

First thing he needs to do is bulk up. A LOT.

Yao may have scored 32.5 points a game playing in the Chinese leagues, but that was triple-A ball. Welcome to the big leagues, Yao... pray to God that Shaq doesn't destroy you.

“Now he said last week that he was gonna bring somebody out here. I'm here. You still don't have your three people, and you know why? Because nobody wants to face us. Where's your three guys? What, you couldn't get a paleontologist to get a couple of these fossils cleared? You couldn't get enough guys off a dialysis machine to get a team?”

I dont like Shaq's style all that much... but the way Yao is right now there is no contest. Once american trainers get their hands on him and he puts on more weight and muscle.... it might be a different story. But we'll see then.

Please, I've watched the Padres second basemen and shortstops consistently pack on 25 lbs of muscle in an offseason.

What? You say that's not all training?

But from what I've seen, Ming can actually play. Bradley was there for one reason and one reason only: he was 7'6". This guy (Ming) has talent to go with that size.

For all the hate me and my team had to endure during the play-offs, I deserve to hate something every once in awhile too, dammit!

Only one man can conquer Shaq, that man is Brad Miller. He got Shaq ejected and the Bulls won the game.

Isnt that the dude that almost got his head knocked completely off when Shaq got tired of being hacked and flipped out and took a swing at him?

Yep, that's him. Shaq missed with his girly swing and the Bulls won the game.

That punch would have registered 4 digits on the Rocky IV Ivan Drago punch-o-meter thingy. It was anything but girly...

In Communist countries thats the LEAST of their training methods. I wouldn't be surprised if Ming was originally a two-headed Siamese female twin midget before their "trainers" got to him.

By the time Yao gets good enough to even get on the court more than 20 minutes a game, Shaq will have bored of getting beat up during an NBA season, retired, and picking up his Oscar for Best Actor, which he will place next to his Grammy.

The Rock as Hollywood's next big action star? forgidaboutit. Shaq is on his way.

Especially after his academy award winning performance in Kazaam. Let's hope for the sake of the free world you are not correct.

Is Shaq in the future classic film "Like Mike" starring the great actor Lil' Bow Wow. Because after seeing the trailor I say Shaq has nothing on the acting skills of Dirk Nowitski.

If he doesn't end up back in the NBA, or college, or high school, or CYO, then the Clippers are always a possibility.
