Not sure if this should be in the random thread or not. Cablevision just dropped airing Pay Per Views on the analog channels up here, and I'm wondering if the digital channels will block my recording them. Sorry if this was asked before.

If it's like my system, you can, but it has to remain on the PPV channel. So in other words, not setting a timer to tape the PPV while you watch something else (or vice versa).

I never had any problem recording PPVs on digital cable with an ordinary VCR. I don't actually tend to WATCH the recordings unless I missed a match, but whatever.

Howe Caverns is about a half hour from Cooperstown if I recall correctly. My parents live a couple hours south of there and I went there a few times over the years. http://www.howecaverns.com/
