| #1 Posted on 24.12.03 0239.55 | hi,
i found you all on a web search i did trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with my poor Dell!!!
i am getting that same "EXPLORER caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE" error that someone else had mentioned. and yes, i am worried because the people here said it was a big deal.
but what i don't understand is how this is happening, when i JUST--as in 48 hours ago--reformatted my entire hard drive. i was having this problem on a pretty regular basis and my dumb behind didn't do anything about it. but this sucks. my web pages are still freezing and occasionally crashing.
please help. i greately appreciate it!!!| Promote this thread! | | Net Hack Slasher

Another trick i got was go to settings - control panel - Internet options... On the General tap click settings button. There's a thing called "Amount of disk space to use" I had mine on like 5MB, but I changed it to 25MB and the problems ended. So if you have your "Amount of disk space used" as a small number (ie under 20MB) try making it 25-40MB.
DCC I could so relate, I was weeks having that problem, very annoying. Do these simple tips and hopefully it clears up for you like it did for me. Keep me informed
