All of which would punish Israel for defending itself from Palestinian terrorism. And all of which, funnily enough, were punishing Israel for violating international law while they were doing that.

I'm not sure how I said becomes that. The country is more Republican than Democrat as a whole. That's why the compromise of Congressional district level elctoral voters because it would be a constant GOP landslide.
