I came across this in the 411 threads (yeah, yeah, I know). It's something written on the net, so take it with a grain of salt, but it's a weird read:

Racism,Politics and Deceit in the WWF...
by Jeremy Green

The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) is known for it's killer ratings,
sellout crowds, and entertaining people of all ages everywhere..Sure,
on the outside it may be harmless..but the World Wrestling Federation
is full of racism and deceit.

Three of the people responsible for the racism and politics in the WWF are
Paul Levesque, Michael Hickenbottom, and Sean Waltman..Respectably
known as Hunter Helmsley, Shawn Michaels, and Syxx-Pac.. Back when there
was a small backstage faction of wrestlers who used to travel, hang out,
drink, and do drugs together, called The Clique..The Clique was made of
Michael Hickenbottom,Paul Levesque,Sean Waltman, and defected
stars to World Championship Wrestling Scott Hall (Razor Ramon), and Kevin Nash.
known as Diesel..

It is not highly-known that The Clique are well known Racists..This event
supports this theory..

Sean Waltman (X-Pac) and up-and-coming WWF Star A.C. Conner, known
as D-Lo Brown engaged in a fist fight, after Sean Waltman and his clique buddy
Paul Levesque were throwing around racial remarks at A.C.. Hickenbottom &
Levesque laughed at A.C. and it is even possibly said that Levesque held Conner
back while Waltman punched him..Some have even said that Hickenbottom spit
in his face.A.C. Conner was told by Vincent McMahon to never mention the incident.
A.C. was allegedly fined for his actions..while Waltman was not..

In World Championship Wrestling, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were on the heels of
forming the New World Order, with wrestling legend Hollywood Hogan.Backstage
at the WCW's Weekly blockbuster tv show, Nitro, Steven Huffman was tormented
week in and week out by Kevin & Scott..Soon,Sean Waltman was over in WCW
as Syxx-Pac, when things took a turn for the worse for Huffman..one night,
Waltman, Hall, and Nash grabbed Huffman and stripped him naked of his clothes..
they tied him up and let burning hot water pour down on him..some sources say
he had his mouth duct-taped shut..

Eric Bischoff had a slightly different approach to the situation than Vince McMahon
he told Nash and Hall that if they pulled another stunt like that, they were out of
WCW..Waltman, who was injured at the time of Nash & Hall's fining..was fired from
WCW for his actions..

In the World Wrestling Federation, In November of 1996, as the Clique were gaining
backstage power..the newest star to break into the WWF, was Dwayne Johnson,
(Rocky Maivia) The Clique found out about how he was very high on McMahon's list
and did everything in their power to keep Johnson out of the main-event scene..
Hickenbottom even went as far as to tell him that he would kill him if he got in The
Clique's way.. Hickenbottom had a philosophy: Wrestling is a White man's world..
and if any black man wanted to get in his way, he would surely make sure it didn't
happen..

Rocky Maivia was recently transformed into The Rock..and it is positive he has a
bright future in this industry, be it in WWF, or WCW..but either way, it's not going
to make people happy...

Has anyone heard any stories like this about these guys? Personally, these stories probably happened, but there were less about race and more about wrestlers being immature jerks (see: Bradshaw, Justin) and just being threatened about their spot. I actually did read somewhere (it escapes me where) that HHH and Booker don't get along and that it might be racially motivated, but who knows?

By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."

Okay, let's see, uh, my guess would be that they probably never happened, and I hope they never happened. Because if they did, Scott Hall just lost a big fan. But, I honestly doubt this happened. Wrestling writer's tend to print anything they overhear/can fabricate. So, I'll go with no.

Respect the opinions of others. Unless they're unoriginal, uninventive morons with no class who use racial slurs and homosexual hate-language for insults. Then break the bastard down. It's 2002 ya'll. There's other races and gays a plenty out there in the real world. Get used to it.

(points to self) Is tired of bitching about Triple H all the time. Is no longer contributing to the hatred. Ir's a waste of our times. We're just going to have to accept he's a main guy and he can't wrestle as well. Period.

Maybe I'm missing something big here, but a) when was Waltman ever dubbed "Syxx-pac" (officially, and in the WWF, no less...), and b) who is Steven Huffman? Is that supposed to be Stevie Ray? I know Booker's last name is Huffman, but I didn't think that he and Stevie were really brothers? If I'm wrong, please correct me...

Yes, Stevie Ray and Booker really are brothers.

As for the story, I'd take anything I read on 411 with not just a grain of salt, but an entire salt mine (up to and including Szulczewski and Keith). The whole article has a pretty strange tone -- I get the "Oh, look how inside I am, I'm using their REAL NAMES" vibe off it, which is usually a hallmark of a wrestling writer pretending to be a real journalist.

I smell bullshit. The fact is that is this story was even remotely true we would have heard about it long before now. Blatant racism would not work in an environment like a wrestling locker room. I dont give a damn how much power the Clique supposedly had, I dont think they could get away with terrorizing the black wrestlers and threatening them with murder. This is complete and utter shit.

From the desk of Swordsman Yen
"Don't let the seemingly conservative demeanor of Sean Morley fool you. The WWE superstar known as Val Venis has been known for his perverse antics backstage, such as sneaking into the women's locker room and sniffing their panties. Sometimes he would wear them as well. The men aren't safe from Morley's antics either. Sometimes he would jump wrestlers in the shower and molest them. Morley has recently limited his attacks to cruiserweights who are powerless to defend themselves, as one time Morley unsuccessfully tried to molest John Layfield (Bradshaw) in the shower and got a taste of his own medicine in the process..."

See how easy it is to come up with such a bullshit story? All you need is a keyboard and your imagination.

Hence, I cast my vote for "this story is bullshit". If this story was true and Vince reacted the way he allegedly did, he would open himself and the company up to protests, boycotts, and lawsuits courtesy of the NAACP and any other civil rights groups out there if it leaked out. The negative press would bring the company to its knees.

Just my opinion, of course, but for the record I concur with those who believe the article to be bullshit. However, I do wish to make a couple of points:

1) Just when was this article written? Based on the way certain performers are referred to, along with the way WCW and the WWF are cited, my guess is approximately four years ago. Does anyone know for certain?

2) The following is from CRZ's recap of the June 10, 2002 broadcast of WWE's RAW:

Backstage, the cameras catch up with a triumphant T, who's talking to...nobody. "That's what I'm talkin' about, man! The Big Teezy, knockin' these suckas straight out the box--" "Psssssst! Booker - Booker!" "Who is that?" Goldust emerges in wrestling garb, gaudy shirt above it, and giant afro. "It's me, Booker - (inhales) - The Undercover Brother." And he clamps on a pipe. "Tell me you didn't just do that, man." "Yeah, I did." "Look, man, I already told you - I tried to get you in the NWO - it ain't happenin'! I gotta go!" "Whoa whoa whoa, I don't wanna join the NWO." "Well whatchoo want?" "Goldust wants Booker T to QUIT the NWO!" "Look, man - I'm over like rover, man - I'm in - I'm NWO, dog!" "I know Shawn Michaels very well, though - if he's the same person that he used to be...well then Book, I'm afraid, my feeling is that your days are numbered in the NWO." "What are you talkin' about?" "Let's just say that Mr. Sexy Boy Toy Shawn Michaels isn't exactly a fan...of...(looks at his hand)...our kind." "Look, man! I AIN'T your kind!" T DOES consult his hand one more time, though.

You may also wish to consider Miguelito's comments regarding the same segment:

And here comes Booker T, walking down the hall celebrating his victory. He is met by Goldustin, who is in Eddie Griffin-Undercover Brother getup, replete with gold pipe. Booker, of course, wants Goldustin to tell him that he didn't just do that. Booker explains that he couldn't get Goldustin into the nWo. Goldustin says he wants Booker to leave the nWo. Booker says he is "over like rover" and wants to know why he should leave the nWo. Goldustin suggests that Michaels is a racist, but in a slightly cryptic way "isn't exactly a FAN of [makes the Booker hand, points to Book, points to himself] our kind." (Remember, Goldustin is being Undercover Brother here. He's trying to paint Michaels as a racist, I swear to you!

Just to repeat myself, I personally think the article is bullshit. However, for WWE to refer to the possibility of HBK and the rest of the nWo being racists in a RAW sketch leads me to believe that these accusations have surfaced at other times in the past. I personally would be interested in knowing if any of those named have ever publicly addressed these accusations.

If you're interested, you can Click Here to read CRZ's recap of that show in full. You can also Click Here to read Miguelito's comments regarding the same program.

I doubt this is true. I think it would have been heard of already if it was true. This is a pretty big accusation. Either way, I don't know for sure.

BUT, Sean Waltman was defintly dubbed "Syxx-Pac" in WCW. When he was in the nWo, his tights even had Syxx-Pac on them. Then we he came to the WWF in mid-98, he was called "X-Pac".

Simply reading that paragraph over made me lose any possible belief I could have in it.

"Three of the people responsible are Paul Levesque, Michael Hickenbottom, and Sean Waltman. They were members of The Clique. The Clique was made of Paul Levesque, Michael Hickenbottom, and Sean Waltman."

Call it stereotyping, but the simple lack of sensible writing gives the whole thing an air of attention-grabbing idiocy to me.

in regards to the sketch that booker and goldust did which supposedly alluded to racism. I thought that it was made clear that the people who Michaels didnt like were the those who can steal the spotlight from himself and whatever he is connected to. Which i think wa made clear by Michaels comments later on after superkicking T. Booker and Goldust are 2 very charasmatic character and neither one, especially booker was presented as a team player. Thus they detracted from the nWo and had to be removed.

As for the whole racism bit involving the Klique? Im thinking about a 6 foot high pile of bullshit that might have an extremely negative backlash on the WWE if the wrong person decides this is true.

This story is absolutely bullshit.

If the accusation about The Wolfpac attacking Stevie Ray was true, why the hell didn't we hear about this four years ago? Why didn't Stevie Ray sue the trio for it? Why didn't Harlem Heat leave WCW immediately following the alleged incident? I'll tell you what, if I'd been Booker T and my brother was assaulted by three of my co-workers, I would have walked right up to Eric Bischoff and told him that him and his stinkin' company could go straight to hell.

It's hard for me to believe the words of a person who doesn't even know how to write a semi-decent article. Elipses all over the place? Improper grammar? Not to mention referring to WWE as the WWF. Just like CarlCX said, the simple lack of sensible writing makes the whole thing smack of bullshit.

I'm all for slamming The Clique when I feel they deserve it, but this is going way too far. Did you notice that the writer never supplied any dates, or any quotes from any source?

I can't see any evidence, circumstantial or otherwise, that suggests this article is anything more than the useless ramblings of a low-class “journalist” trying to make a name for himself by shitting on other people's reputations.

“You read about all these terrorists -- most of them came here legally, but they hung around on these expired visas, some for as long as 10-15 years. The story is B.S. Here are my reasons.
First just because HHH and D-Lo got into a fight doesn't make either racist. Wrestlers fight sometimes because of the drugs, long hours, and steroids.
Second the Nash, Hall, and X-Pac story of tying up Stevie Ray is unbelievable. Those 3 would be banned for life in North America because no fed would want the bad press afterwards. Also if true why didn't Sonny Ono use that in his case. No story like that could stay a secret.
Third the Rock and HHH have wrestled like 300 times and feuded off and on for the last 5 years. If they hated each other they just wouldn't have anything to do with each other. I would bet money the are pretty good friends in real life.
It is too unbelieveable in short.

If that happened to D'Lo, why didn't D'Lo get Godfather and Farrooq, two black guys well known for their real life fighting skills, to beat the hell out of HBK, X-Pac, and Hunter, three small (Hunter was at the time) white guys who I'm sure would have gotten smashed by Godfather and Farrooq, hell, they could even have gotten Ahmed to help them. This article seems way to exagerated...... perhaps someone in the kliq has made a racist remark before, but I doubt they have done THIS much.

Total and complete bullshit. The fact that someone would even post this kind of idiotic nonsense is sad.

As far as Sean Waltman's various character names, he was called simply "Syxx" in WCW, as he was the Sixth member of the nWo introduced. "Syxx-pac" was just a nickname that Hall and Nash used for him, since Tupac was really big at the time (1996, remember), and Nash desperately wanted to be hip and fool people into thinking that he's not really 174 years old.

for all the new kids on the block, Ahmed johnson was a legit bad ass...he WAS a black version of a mix of Goldberg and Brock...his only problem was he was too stiff in the ring and would hurt himself and others (didn't he bruse farrooq's kidneys in the middle of that feud with the nation?)

i say WAS because when he made a return to the ring w/ WCW as the new Harlem Heat 2000, he got fat and lost that $1,000,000 body...
