Jason Lee always had the best lines in Kevin Smith movies cause of his delivery, he is one of the best in the business IMHO. Also I think Mallrats is a very underestimated movie, I like it better than Chasing Amy myself, but that might be because it is more serious.

Geez-us Baldwin, where do you keep finding these sites? Stop this crap and crank out another Papercuts!!! ;-)

As much fun as Mallrats is, I still love Chasing Amy more, and I'd have to give the nod to Clerks over MR too. And probably J&SBSB for that matter, and probably Dogma too. I like MR, just not my fave Kevin Smith flick.

I'll have J&SBSBSEDVD (lol) in my grubby paws in about a month so whoo hoo!!!

Like I said before, my friends find some of the STRANGEST things online.

Honestly, I don't go searching for this stuff at all!

As for Papercuts! I'm tellin' you, I don't have ANYTHING to write about! Honest! There's nothing worse than staring at a blank screen.

But if you want to suggest something, go right ahead -- I'll see what I can do with it.

Aw man, I'm just yanking your chain about needing a papercuts fix. If you think of something you want to write about, that's cool. Are you guys covering the Bruce Wayne:Fugitive storyline like you did Our Worlds at War and Joker Last Laugh?

I suppose I could just head over there and check it out, now couldn't I?

"My cousin Walter jeked off in public once. True story. He was on a plane to New Mexico and the hydrolics went. So he decided it was over and started beating it right there. All of the other passengers took a cue from him and started beating off like mad. So here they are plunging to their certain doom, when suddenly "snap" the hydrolics kick back in. The plane lands safely, and everybody puts their pieces, or you know whatever away, and deboards. No one mentions the phenomina to anyone else."

"Better Off Dead" Now THERE'S a great teen comedy. Jason Lee saves Mallrats, but BOD is a tour de force of comedy. Too many good lines in that one.

"Everybody in the ENTIRE state of Northern California is here to see you tame this totally untamed hill!"

"I know I'm just a cartoon, but would you mind if I asked out Beth"

"What's a little boy like you doing with big-boy smut like this?"

"Two weeks, ten papers, that's two dollars, cash"

"I know its bacon, but what have you DONE to it?"

"Now that's a shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that."

I could go on and get more quotes wrong, really.

That movie RULED. They need a SEDVD of that one. Even tho I bought the VHS, I'd gladly shell out $25 for that.

I cannot decide which is better..
They are all so different. Ohwell..Jason Lee is perfect in Mallrats.
Oh the funny quotes from that one..
and perhaps the coolest of em all. William looking at the sailboat, Rene walking by..he looks and goes 'Brenda?'

Man, I watched J&SBSB in theatre here last week. (yes, it only started playing mid january) with a total of 9 people being there, and two (women) walking out upon realizing it wasn't about Damon & Affleck..
It made me feel special..

Anyone else hear that Jason Mewes (Jay) is in jail? He violated parole or something, I don't think it was anything serious. Just thought it was interesting.

Chasing Amy is the best movie of all time. No question, IMHO. I'm so obsessed with that fucking movie, I saw it in the theater, bought it on VHS (release day), LD (Though I have never owned a Laserdisc player), and DVD (also release day, and long before I actually had a DVD player). I also have the movie poster, script book, and a jar of Jason Lee's urine, circa the filming of the movie.

2 things:

Jason Mewes got a DWI in Jersey but the cops recognized him at the station house and I think he just paid a fine. No jail time.

If you ever get a chance, go to Kevin Smith's store, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Redbank NJ. Not only do you get to see some of the movie stuff (like Buddy Christ or the Lesbian cartoon from Chasing Amy) but you can meet Walt Flanagan there as well! He works there full time with the occasional appearance by Steve Dave. In fact the first time I went there, Walt, Steve Dave and Rick Fucking Derris signed my Clerks poster AND I met Kevin Smith. One of the best days of my life. Ok, enough gushing from this fanboy.

Apparently Mewes skipped his probation hearing for heroin use or possession.
In fact its somewhere on the same page the Booker T mugshot is..

Damn, I'd love to go to the Stash next time I'm in the New York area.
I marked out when in J&SBSB its Brodie's Secret Stash with pretty much the same logo and stuff..
