California primary results are available at Short version is Condit's out - Cardoza vs. Monteith for his seat, Riordian loses to Simon in the Republican battle to see who faces Davis for governor, and the concept of weakening term limits has gone down.

I thought that Riordian/Simon would have been closer than it was. Condit was a gonner since the Democrats reworked his district so that he would lose.

What are your thoughts on Davis/Simon for govenor? Does Simon have a chance to unseat him? I have heard that Davis might run for President in 2004.

You're in a desert, walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling towards you. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

Davis could probably raise enough money to be a viable contender, but the guy doesn't have a chance for a few reasons:

1. He hasn't done such a great job from what I understand and

2: He's not really such a compeling personality.

3. In terms of national recognition he's maybe 4th or 5th on the list of Californians. Boxer, Feinstein, Pelosi, and maybe even your hero and mine, Willy Brown, are bigger bigwigs in terms of the National Democratic Party.

And you know this...Man!

Ditto on Grey Davis having no personality. One radio talk show host from Sacramento calls him "Governor-Tron 2000". After watching Simon give his nomination speech last night though, he may be in the same boat if he doesn't let some of that Rudy Guliani charm rub off on him.

Hopefully the GOP will back Simon and not let him get eaten alive like they did with Dan Lundgren (who had a bit more abrasive of a personality anyway). I think he has a good shot of beating Davis if he sticks to his ideas, doesn't make a big fuss out of social issues, constantly puts pressure on Davis' with his job record, and gets more support from people like Guliani and Bush, the latter having supported Riordan as governor. He really needs to associate himself with the positive image of Bush and the rest of the Republicans right now--pushing anti-terrorism and security big time would also not hurt him. Davis has tried to do this but has been criticized for doing it too politically.

Just my thoughts,

Holmes only made one gay movie, but it's rumored at the worst of his addiction he may have slept with a few rich men (although that's never been confirmed). And he only slept with a couple of actresses (Cicione, Tracy Adams and possibly Amber Lynn)
