This is just ridiculous. Barely over 1/3rd of the season through and we now have 5 no-hitters and two perfect games. I can't remember such a amount of no-nos so close together other than when Stewart and Valenzuela had theirs on the same night in 1990, I think. This may have been the best pitched one of them all. Congrats to the Giants and Cain and a big thumbs up to Blanco for that incredible dive that saved the perfect game.
In other no-no news, the Mets are going to appeal (espn.go.com) R.A. Dickey's one-hitter in hopes of turning it into their second no-no in less than two weeks. As big a Met fan as I am, I don't agree with this. Upton would had likely been safe, even if Wright had fielded the ball cleanly. That was a hit and even if it gets reversed, I don't see the point in being rewarded a no-no long after the game is over.

While the Mets appeal was denied, Dickey did give an encore performance on Monday night.
"This is DIET Double Dew, Kyle! It only has half the caffeine and sugar of Double Dew!"

Holy Crap is Dickey pitching well.
I wonder when he's done if he'll be able to teach what he's doing to others.
