(If you've missed one, all in this series can be found at

Occupation: Jedi Knight (

Marital Status: Single - no kidding, really?

REAL Occupation: Engineer, although it appears he currently is without employment while pursuing a teaching credential...or he would have been unemployed ANYWAY...or maybe he left it off, who can say

Last listed job: Worked for Kmart's as a software engineer

Website:, aka

Man, this guy does everything with his website that I HATE - there's an annoying popup which loads a bunch of java so that I know TO THE SECOND how long it is until the election is, then attempts to play a QuickTime MIDI-alike of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" - which ended up choking the CPU of my poor Windows box so it ended up sounding like some kinda FREAKY BREAKBEAT Battle Hymn of the Republic. Not good. And then there's the matter of his main page using frames, and don't forget the animated GIF dividers!!!!

Clicking onto his issues page ( gives you a java "snake" following your cursor around. (The illegible "word" is actually the randomly drawn alphabetical order that will be used in the upcoming election). And it doesn't stop there...

Issues on "SHOW ME THE ISSUES!" page: 32

Issues on "SHOW ME THE ISSUES!" page which go to "under development" page (then autoredirect back): 24

Issues on "SHOW ME THE ISSUES!" page which give 404 "not found" error: 3

Issues on "SHOW ME THE ISSUES!" page which lead to some other website: 1

They're out to get me: As one of his four issues that DOES have a page, spends way too much time documenting the efforts of a script kiddie attempting to hack his system (

Probably shouldn't be bragging on his website about: Keeping a copy of a mysql database which includes personal records of every registered voter in Contra Costa County

In theory: Suggests a tax holiday ( - "Remember: we need creative thinking to solve California's problems!"

Idea of a "Cool Link": Someone apparently attempted to patent the idea of using a laser to give your cat exercise ( - um, I GUESS that's cool. Remember, creative thinking will solve California's problems!

Maybe the AI should have run instead: Amazingly, one of the other sites keeping tabs on these guys directed me to a link of Gorman's attempt to pass the Turing test and win the Loebner Prize ( back in 1999. Not even close - in fact, he finished last - but I sure liked the Edgar Allan Poe quotes! Was supposed to contribute a chapter to a book about all this but it doesn't look like it ever got published.

Does research by: Using web search engines - hey, just like me!

All politicians lie: "Education and public safety these are the critical issues. I'm going to try to make good and wise decisions for the people. I will bring creative thinking to government." (Thanks, KTLA)

I admit that there just ain't much out there on this one, but he was so devilishly handsome I couldn't NOT choose him - plus there's that website...hoo boy. A great lesson in how NOT to design your site (and if I'M saying that, you KNOW it's bad, woo)

In a state that has previously sent Robert Dornan off to the U.S. Congress, I'm thinking that AI program sounded like a fine choice to be their leader. Especially since it knew already that "politics sucks".

It's not just the Democrats that seem to not like this movie. GWB now is scheduling a speech during the movie. That's pretty ballsy actually.
