| #1 Posted on 21.8.03 0344.45 | Instant Rating: 8.65 | Hello, have you met my friend the cardboard cutout of the president?
 BADI BADIOZAMANI (I)
Website: www.badiforgovernor.org or www.badiozamani.com - DO NOT MISS the photo section! This guy'll pose with ANYBODY and put it on his website!
Call him: Dr. Badi (or Dr. Phil, I forget)
Claim to fame: Allegedly first Persian-American gubernatorial candidate in an American race
Man of ideas: If elected, would repeal raise in car tax, rehire school workers laid off due to budget cuts, halt increases in state tuitions....and save California from bankruptcy
Iran had a NAVY?: Served 1973-75
Creativity: Two daughters are named Ghazal and Ghazalle
So THAT'S how elections work: "We believe he has a chance to win because at this special election, any candidate who simply gets the highest number of votes will take the office."
Buy the book: His book, Iran & America: Rekindling a Love Lost, will be published in the fall.
Number of web pages containing BOTH terms "Badi Badiozamani" and "Axis of Evil", according to Google: 7
Quote: "This is an opportunity for me to offer my experience and assistance back to the state that let me and my family live the American dream." source: (latimes.com)
Vote for Badi Badiozamani - the "even more difficult to spell than Schwarzenegger" candidate
TOMORROW: SURF SANTA MONICA

| #3 Posted on 21.8.03 1411.01 | His agenda is only missing one things, and that is:
To plant money tree. Plant a tree that grows $100 bills to fund the rest of my platform.
And I love "Create Jobs". As if the other 138 candidates are all taking the "Destroy Jobs" platform...
And I love even more the half quote:
it's possible that a Badi Badiozamani could end up in the governor's mansion. - NBCsandiego.com
Do you think it began with, "If all other candidates end up being killed in a freak accident on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno then..."
Watch, he'll end up winning...
"It's hard to be a prophet and still make a profit." - Da Bush Babees
"Finally, a candidate who can explain the current administration's position on civil liberties in the original German." - Bill Maher on Arnold Schwarzenneger
"You know, I'm a follower of American politics." - President George W. Bush, 8 Aug 2003 | Freeway

"The big names have big money and resources that can help them to get their names known to voters, but with maybe a hundred names on the ballot, it's possible that a Badio Badiozamani could end up in the governor's mansion"

| #5 Posted on 26.8.03 0456.54 | Instant Rating: 8.65 | Washington Post: Asked whether this whole thing, including the appearance of his name on the ballot, wasn't a deeply disturbing farce, Badiozamani replied no. "This is the most beautiful thing. This is a sign of beautiful democracy. This is not only democracy, but accountability," he said. "We need accountability."
I felt that that quote merited another unnecessary extension of his thread. ;-)
