A new logo will be unveiled at WrestleMania XX, signifying the end of the attitude era and the start of a new direction for the company.

=====

I'm guessing it'll be something with an E in it as opposed to the rush-job deletion in 2002.

Great. Does this mean that all scratchy WWE logos from the past will be blurred out too?

Since I may be the only person to detect your sarcasm, let me answer for the many that probably won't: No.

In the context of baseball, the use of drugs hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, the use of alcohol hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, womanizing hurts whom? Maybe the wife of the player? In the context of baseball, felonies are crimes against society, not against baseball. In the context of baseball, gambling is the only crime against baseball.

Gambling, in the context of baseball, is a capital offense and Rose has richly earned-- hell, he agreed to-- his death sentence. Let him hang.

I wonder if a "new direction for the company" will actually accompany the new logo, or if Jim Varsallone just kinda added that part on the end there because that's what happened with the intro of the scratch logo/he felt like it.

It's probably just editorializing, since the difference is that there was a noticable change in the WWF heading towards the direction of Attitude even BEFORE the switch to the scratchy logo.

Except for the fact that they've adjusted to a slightly safer style of work, I don't really see anything all that different this time.

Something that just occured to me: New logo = NEW BELTS!!

I love it when they come out with new belts, except I hated/hate the original Undisputed Title (way too small), the currect WWE title (the face is a tad small, or maybe it's just the shape that makes it look that way), the IC title Jeff Jarrett dropped to Chyna (the face was the same size as the side plates so it looked like a giant band-aid), and the current U.S. Title (looks like WonderWoman's headband).

Well for starters they could make a new world title belt for RAW. Like one that's actually a WWE made title belt instead of the one WCW was using before it went under.

I may be worng, but I'm pretty sure that they HAVE replaced the old belt at least once. It's the same design-obviously-but I tihnk it's a little smaller, and a LOT shinier.

Call me a dreamer, but I'd like to see it go back to being the WWWF again, though I doubt they will change the name of the company again for the second time in two years. That being said, a change couldn't hurt. The logo did change rather abruptly in 2002 when Vince settled with the World Wildlife Fund.

It would have been so much easier for them to add a little scratchy dash at the bottom of 'F' on the WWF logo- couple strikes and POOF! Insta Logo! That way they might have been able to avoid at least some of the blurring, by going back over the old film and covering that little section with a transparent image or something like that. Since the logo in the corner never moved, it'd be so easy to go over and change. That would have helped somewhat.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new logo, but I am a little worried about it. Sure, WWE has been improving in it's quality of programming (at a snails pace, but nonetheless improving), but I got this feeling that the logo is gonna look like crap, or really dorky and corny. (and I liked the scratch pattern better than all the others).

the whole reason why the WWF became the WWE is because of the lawsuit we all know of. The lawsuit however was over the WWF attitude logo. it is EXACTLY like the world wildlife fund logo. Instead of just changing the logo, Vince changed the name of the whole damn fed.

If indeed a new logo is unveiled, in a perfect world, it would be back to the WWF. WWE, though I have gotten used to it, still sucks.
