At about this time last year, the WWE, or WWF at the time was promoting the heck out of Triple H's comeback. You couldn't go a WWE program in December, whether it was Excess, Heat, Raw or Smackdown without this custom made WWF Desire video about Triple H's recovery from injury and some recent highlights of kicking tail and taking names later.
Well, with that being said, what about Kevin Nash? Where's his WWE Desire video? Where's his limited edition Kevin Nash-only magazine? Has he not done anything for them in the past? Need they be reminded that he was WWF Champion for about a year, the longest title reign in the 1990's. Contrary to popular belief, he's been working diligently to recover from his injury, and the photos at his website prove it.
Nash is slated to comeback at the Rumble, so there's still more than enough time to right this wrong. They have more than enough footage, practically his whole wrestling career because they also have the WCW footage as well. Who could ever forget the time he won the hearts of millions when he unselfishly gave up his WCW title to Hogan from the 'finger of doom'. Not me. And prior to that, the time he overcame the odds and beat the man thought to be unbeatable, the man they call hero, the man they call Goldberg. And let's not forget the time he made mincemeat in about 10 seconds out of someone who was once WWF Champion for about 5 years straight, that man being Bob Backlund. I will never forget these unforgettable moments.
Hopefully the WWE will see the error of their ways and make Kevin Nash the Desire video he so richly deserves.
Kevin Nash/Desire? That's an oxymoron. Considering Vince used a U2 song for Trip's return (that should have been the tip-off to all that was to come), perhaps Barbara Streisand singing Send in the Clowns while they do a super-super-super slow mo of Nash getting injured (normal speed for Nash was super-super slow mo) to show his committment to the business would be appropriate.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
Originally posted by Spiraling_ShapeHas anyone other than Nash himself said he`d be back by the Rumble? I thought that his injury was almost as serious as HHH`s..which would put him out a lot longer than January.
Jim Ross said that that was an "optimistic" statement by Nash.
Gee, I wonder what he meant by that?
RAW Satire 12/9 Vikings (3-10) -You've got to play, you know, both halves. Badgers (7-6) - The Alamo Bowl? Oh boy? Buffy 7.Blah Ah, the long stretch of bordem between new episodes...
DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?
SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.
Oh my god!!! That has got to be the single greatest thing I've ever seen on the internet! It's exactly how I pictured it to be. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have added some audio clips of Nash talking about how much he loves wrestling or something.
The best part about it is that it's almost exactlly how I pictured it. I've been waiting for the Nash Desire video for months now and someone actually went ahead and did it! I mean, look at it. The beer! The laziness! The Creed music! Wow, just wow!
In addition to the live RAW being practice for a PPV, I distinctly recall someone in the WWE saying in an interview a while back that it's much cheaper to do the live RAW than the taped Smackdown. The MCG
