I'm sure everyone has seen this by now Click Here (huffingtonpost.com) yes George Bush had shoes thrown at him at a press confrence during his surprise visit to the Middle East. I have no idea how he dodged the first one. Say what you want about the guy, and I have no love for him, but I don't know if there is another president that could have dodged that.
I'm sure your take on this may vary depending where you stand on a lot of things, but I saw it as quite a show of anger towards US Policy.

Sweet Austin Powers-reference.
I can't believe the Secret Service didn't kill the guy right there, especially since, oh...a guy tried to BLOW UP A PLANE with a shoe-bomb a few years ago and there was a shoe flying at the POTUS' head.
I was impressed with Bush's reflexes and follow-up comments.

Interesting? Sure. But a bit too much "AMERICA FUCK YEAH" for me. (Although it should be said that he does have a point, in that the thrower would've been in deep shit under some other regimes for doing just that.)
Wonder if the symbolism was lost on Bush et al, if they remember why Iraqis were throwing their shoes at the Saddam statue before it came down.
And for that reason it has nothing to do with affirmative action, which is about race and racism. Let's follow your train of logic some more. You seem to be claiming that legacy policies are equivalent to AA.
