What's going on with Buh Buh Dudley? When they broke the Dudley Boyz up I thought he had a chance to make an impact. He's got stacks of charisma, a good mean streak, sells well, understands a bit about psychology and keeps his cool under pressure.

But he's become a comedy guy. The Dusty Rhodes elbow was bad enough, but the dance routines with Molly the past two weeks have been ridiculous. Am I the only one who feels the WWE is blowing it with Buh Buh? What can be done to get him back on the right track?

What else can he be BUT comic relief? The guy can't be taken seriously as a wrestler.

Buh Buh will never be a main-event guy. (He reached that level once in ECW and even THERE many rolled their eyes at the concept.) Given the current talent stack in the WWE, he'd be quite lucky to get the IC belt.

He's the Jim Neidhart of his generation -- a beefy guy, far from talentless, but whose limitations are exposed outside of a tag-team environment. Buh Buh has developed better mic skills than the Anvil ever had, of course, but he's still got that Domo-Kun-in-camos body type that looks soft compared to the guys at the top.

(Sure, Dusty Rhodes was a main eventer. Dusty Rhodes HAD THE BOOK then.)

Bubba and Regal have the right idea: if you aren't in a major storyline, have fun while you're out there performing and entertain the crowd. Big Show did a bang up job with his impersonations while he was in between storylines. That is what is missing from most of the other wrestlers.

And what exactly is wrong with dancing with Molly? It might make get Trish jealous that Molly gets touched more often than she does, and she's supposed to be the sexy one. Maybe we get a real story line out of it. Naaah, the writers aren't that smart.

I assume you meant the Tazz Vs. Buh Buh Ray match from ECW Hardcore Heaven 1999. It was a good match but ECW didnt really follow up on it. The next PPV he was back to challenging mystery teams (Spike and fill in the blank)
WWE did the same thing. When he won the Hardcore title it seemed they might push him as a serious competiter but well that obviously didnt happen.

He is fun to watch, and while he may not be the greatest technical wrestler in the world, he is far from the worse, and he is a human bump machine as well. When he is in the ring, I get the feeling he is truly trying to be entertaining, and is working hard. Fact is, I can 'believe' his matches, and he often makes me laugh. Could he be the IC champ? sure, why not? It would be entertaining and it would be fun to watch.

Buh Buh is alright. That dancing thing with Molly was lame, but he's a decent wrestler, and his tribute to Dusty is funny. He's doing better than D-Von right now. Overall Buh Buh is not one of my favorites but he's definitely better than Bradshaw.

Well, Bradshaw isn't exactly challenging for the IC belt right now, either. (Which I won't complain about.)

Buh Buh's certainly not bad, much less terrible. He'll never be an all-star, but he's a ring veteran and a valuable role player when used correctly. He'll take bumps, and has a peculiar kind of charisma. He may end up with the IC belt at some point out of sheer longevity -- one of those "He's been here forever, let's do something with him" kind of runs.

I think Bubba needs help in the personna department. He can wrestle and he can talk. He has a bit of charisma. But his ring attire and overall gimmick need a big update, I think.
I've been digging him as Trish's friend and protector. Maybe he could get over in a love angle with Trish? Maybe she could dump him and go heel or something?

Am I the only one who seems to like Bubba Ray Dudley? He's not the greatest wrestler in the world, but he still entertains me. He's improved significantly since splitting from D-Von and nobody seems to notice the good run of matches he's had. He's the only other guy besides RVD to get a good match out of Brock Lesnar so far and nobody seems to point that out. He's got a natural charisma that beats out the likes of Brock, Jeff Hardy, and Chris Benoit. Bubba's earned himself a push and if there's anything I'm complaining about...it's that he's suddenly been shoved into a feud with Big Slow after getting a huge win over Benoit and Guerrero. Does that make sense to anybody?

And that's the bottom line, because it's false! It's DAMN false!

I think Buh Buh is a very valuable star to have on the roster, but I would never give him a meaningful singles title. He is a very solid wrestler and does indeed have a decent amount of charisma. The only way I can see him getting to the main event is in a Mankind/Mick Foley sorta way - as in, a guy who is not a great athlete but 1) is tough as hell and 2) very lovable. He doesn't need a title to accomplish either of those two things.

The problem with updating his ring attire (someone else suggested this), is that due to his body type, there really isn't a whole lot that can be done. They could change the color scheme and/or print, but the style has to remain the same. Dear God, don't expose the man's less-than-Herculean physique. (or his morbidly-white legs, for that matter.)

Lastly, I wouldn't mention that he is the only one besides RVD to get a good match out of Lesner because I don't think it's true. I have enjoyed every match Lesner has taken part in. Besides, thusfar, he hasn't had too many high-profile matches yet, so it's not fair to say that only Buh-Buh and RVD have gotten "PPV-quality" matches out of him.

I like Buh Buh. So yeah, he's got Midcard Forever tattooed on his forehead. He's never going to be a solo main eventer. Not everyone can be -- or should be. He's a good bumper and brawler, he can sell, and he knows how to entertain a crowd. What more do you want, a Space Flying Tiger Drop?

Buh Buh would make a good opponent for a heel who held the IC belt, but I can't see him actually holding the thing himself -- at least, not for very long.

I think Buh Buh is really someone who they could do more with. There's something about him, perhaps its the big but still human looking physique, that makes him an easy character to connect with. I think if they pulled the trigger and gave him a serious push for an actual reason, and dropped most of the comedy stuff (keep the Flip Flop and Fly though) he could have a legit run with the IC belt for a while. He's not fast but he can still work with the lighterweight guys, but he's also big enough to legitimately work the UT's and Kane's of the world. Serious, angry Buh Buh could be a damn strong uppercard character for Raw. Give him a few months of humanizing and character building, and then BAM, give him a reason to just become pissed off beyond words and want to put someone through a table. And during that time have him get rid of the tables, so when he finally does get to put his nemesis through one, it will be a huge moment.
