Hmph. I don't know how to take such a *positive* upbeat ending. Although for a moment I forgot that the First can't hold a knife and thought that as revenge for beheading it's vamp, it would behead Buffy's. But Spike remembered...

The First will be rather miffed next ep, I imagine, nonetheless.

So, again this week, I didn't see Giles touch anything. I'm thinking he's not corporeally there, but given that the First pulled the trick with Eve, there's no need for it to pull the same trick with Giles. He's not evil (or at least, not THE evil), but something is up with him, nonetheless.

Speaking of people up with stuff, no Woods or Joyce this week. Odd.

So the brain thing says its all the Scoobies fault about the villain, and they brought it on themselves. Does this mean they have to kill Buffy to fix everything?

Is it just me, or did Buffy hulk up when the Turok-Han was choking her?

High tide for the time being.

I find it hard to believe that Giles has been there for a few days now, and nobody has tried to give him a hug.

Damn, this show has been funny this season. Andrew had some classic throwaway lines last night.
I just started drooling when all the Faith possibilities were brought up. (As if this show needed more hot women)
Yeah no more Giles leads this week, so who knows? I'm sure it's intentional.

The WWE could put on 2 hours of Kevin Kelly sitting on the toilet reading a phone book, and I'd still watch next week.

Just want to throw this out there. The brain thing said that the "Slayer" was mucking things up. It didn't say Buffy by name. The actual slayer lineage goes through Faith, not Buffy. So in a way, you can argue that Faith is the real slayer. Maybe SHE has to die.

But it does seem to be actually Buffy. She is the one that "came back wrong". And she is the one that you must assume that the first evil was referring to when it said to kill everyone but her.(And the fact that at the first opportunity, the Ubervamp left Buffy to go after the others). But just wanted to throw Faith's name out there.

Do you guys ever read a Buffy board? It reminds me a lot of this one, a lot of jaded marks. There is a goodly amount of whining and complaining. In this is case, if you boiled all down, a lot of them seemed to have wanted the Ubervamp to go over Buffy in some fashion to establish itself as an effective heel. Seems to me that the Ubervamp wasn't suppose to be the top heel, but what do I know.

I also believe that Giles is still wearing the same clothes as we he got there. Admittedly, he doesn't there anymore, but you'd think there's be spare clothes at the magic shop or at casa summers.

I would have thought if there was something funky with Giles, the creepy-looking Oracle would have said something.

And count me as one of the people who thinks Buffy will AGAIN sacrifice herself to save the world, thus nicely writing Gellar out of the show.

Please don't the New Yorker be the new slayer. She's irritating already, even moreso that Dawn.

I think the thing about oracles is that they tend not to tell you things unless you ask them directly. Although I also think that if Giles was the First Evil and asking about the First Evil, the oracle would ask him why he's asking about himself.

If the coven is calling for Giles, does that imply he's been speaking on the phone to them off camera? Or do the Summers have speaker phone? As much as we might want to assume contact with Giles would have to be made off camera (hugs and such), Giles has somehow managed to avoid contact in all the on camera instances (including an attempted hug by Buffy). If we were meant to see Giles touch something, we would (and I think that if Giles were meant to touch something, we would see it). The problem is that he isn't touching anything, and therefore, that means something. But what?

And regarding the Buffy marks, well, she was just doing her typical no selling again. This show has lacked effective heels since season 5 when Buffy refused to put anyone over. In season 6, she convicingly won every showdown with the arch-nemesises, thus never letting them get any real heat, and the only villain she did sell for was her best friend, who she knew would be turning face again soon and thus couldn't be more over than her. And she only sold for the Turok-han for one week, cuz she knew that this week, she'd get her heat back by defeating it in the blow off match, again going over in the end. Buffy needs to start playing ball with the midcard heels, or else this show will just keep going downhill.

Oh my God, Buffy is Triple H.

Keep in mind that the one who told us about the First Evil being incorporate was....Giles. So who knows if it is really true or not?

I got the Buffy Season 3 on DVD this week and noticed something. The First can touch people, so I think there is another bit of evidence that Giles may not be Giles.

A Fan- Season 3 rocks on DVD.

If Giles told everyone The First can't take physical form and it can kill and replace people, why doesn't everybody hold hands? It's kind of like doing blood tests in The Thing. You never know when or who in your group is the shapeshifter.

This may sound stupid, but has anyone ever thought that maybe all of the shenanigans involving Buffy have invalidated whatever agreement we had with the darkside to give us a slayer?

I mean we've known since the Drac episode that Buffy's power isn't heaven sent it's rooted in the same thing she hunts.

So mayhaps:
A)Buffy dying once and splitting the slayer power into two girils
B)Buffy's "little sister" is made with her blood and also seems to be getting stronger
C)Buffy's second death and subsequent resurrection upsets the natural order.

Joyce has already told us Buffy and Dawn will be divided in the big showdown, so Faith's ultimate redemption may come from "cleaning house" when it's BONZO GONZO.

We have three Slayers more or less, and whatever deal we cut gave us one. One of the slayers isn't truly human and one shouldn't be alive. Anyone else sense a body count coming?

What Joyce said is Buffy won't choose her at the end which is hella vauge thats why Joss Whedon rules and sucks at the same time. I'm thinking Buffy will choose another slayer besides Dawn, turn praying button on now. If she lets Dawn, then Buffy will probably committe a form of suicide as well for choosing the slayer legacy over her even though Dawn isn't her sister and just a pile of floating energy. Plus, Buffy already died once to save her.

If they kill Buffy again, I'm going to be pissed. I say just end the series let Buffy be the Slayer and call a day. by the way, here is the talk of what is going to happen if the series ends this year.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

Apperantly there will be a high body count if Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't sign. Joss has stated it will give the remaining cast members some options, yes remaining cast members, Giles is going to do Ripper and Anya wants out.

1) Eliza does Faith: The Vampire Slayer series. Joss says she gets first shot at it if she wants it. If she does it kills the Dawn is the slayer rumors once and for all. Most of the cast stays minus Dawn and/or Willow.

2) Angel. Angel gets more cast members from Buffy while dumping some other cast members. If I were laying money down I'd say Angel's son and Wesley get dumped in favor of Willow, Dawn or Xander or Spike. Remember, Spike and Xander hate Angel, but that gives us good TV.

3) The New Slayer and the Scooby Gang. One of the new Slayers is chosen, I don't think its going to be Dawn, a new Watcher, the rest of the cast minus Dawn and maybe Spike.

4) Ripper. Giles takes some of them to England, more than likely Willow to join him. The BBC gets all the fun while we all buy satellite dishes.

5) UPN goes bankrupt and we are left with nothing, but crappy shows like Smaville, ER, Survivor, Millionare and Who wants to seal their soul to Satan for a few thousand dollars in front of 35 million morons who have nothing better to do with their lives then watch this crap.

A Fan- I'm praying Sarah signs up for more more season, because this looks like mass choas.

Maybe the First did touch stuff in season III, but even Spike knew that the First couldn't touch stuff now when Buffy showed up with the knife. If the First can interact with stuff, its doing a bang up job hiding that fact from us this season.

Then again, same applies to Giles.

Also, the Drac episode is also the first appearance of Dawn. Is it just coincidence that we learn about the origin of Buffy's powers right when she gets *split* into Dawn like that, or is there a reason we had to get that fact out on the table before the mystical shit they were about to pull?

Regarding your SPOILERS!!!!!

Even if UPN doesn't go bankrupt and Sarah does sign on for more seasons, I haven't heard anything good regarding UPN's willingness to resign Buffy. (At least according to all the reports mostly from 411 regarding Smackdown's status for next year.) I kinda wish once and for all someone would definitively decide what is going on with this show so that we can know whether or not this is it for them.

Also, Allison Hannigan and Alexis Denisoff (I think I got that right) are dating/living together last I heard (according to Allison on Later with Carson Daly earlier this season.) If Willow were to jump to Angel, I don't think they'd cast off her boyfriend... (I also don't see her moving to Britain for Ripper unless Wesley is booted off Angel too (to jump also?))

END SPOILERS!!!!

I caught the end (second hour) of the first episode earlier today on UPN. I still can't believe how far this show has come.

Anyone who has suggested Wesley get booted off of Angel.. grr.. take that back!

He's the best character, by FAR, in the Jossverse, has been since mid-last season.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.

"What's your problem?"

"My throat got cut and all my friends abandoned me. Next question."

If UPN doesn't pick Buffy up, the spinoff woll most certainly go to the WB. The whole move was caused by production costs (AKA paying SMG and Hannigan more since they became movie stars [even though technically Scooby Doo wasn't really a blockbuster despite it doing well at the box office so really, who's a movie star? Hanigan, Ms. Bond, Hanigan])

Plus you gotta remember that the long rumoured animated series could be inside the Fox Box next to TMNT anyday now. And if not that then there's always Angel, by the way the eye oracle was nowhere near the level of talking demonic fast food burger statue, so it's not like we're completely screwed. Unless Boreanaz gets a swelled head and then God help us...
