Padres made a great pickup here. Black's just the guy to bring guys like Peavy to the next level and he definitely deserves a job after taking an Angels rotation left in shambles last season and turning them into a force to be reckoned with next season.

Unrelated to the thread, but Cub related: Cub tickets for Wrigley went on sale at 10 AM today. As of 8:55 PM, 22 games are already sold out. Wow -- us Cub fans are optimistic. We haven't had back-to-back .500+ seasons since '71-72 (IIRC).
