I guess that's the Best Case Scenario with Matthew Vaughn (Director of X-men First Class) leaving... like having Peter Jackson directing The Hobbit after Guiellermo Del Tero left. Unfortunately, Singer's movies have been really suspect after X-Men and X2 (Superman Returns, Valkyrie, and Jack the Giant Killer got delayed).

I might be the only person that thought First Class was twenty minutes too long and not that great. I think Singer is perfect for doing a Days of Future Past especially if the rumors of the old cast coming back is true. I don't mind Wolverine being after Last Stand, they need to confront that problem and move on.

That is a clever turn of phrase by you, even if it was unintentional.
Now I am biased as Singer is one of, if not my favorite director, but I like this move a lot. In fact, I never watched another X-Men movie after X2 because Singer wasn't directing. So this move will bring me back into the X-Men franchise.
