I like what Maurice Jones-Drew said about Tebow. He shouldn't play in Jacksonville because the guy already has enough pressure, he doesn't need to go to a team expecting him to be the savior. He is better off somewhere as far away from Florida as possible.

So let me get this straight: The Browns think that Seneca Wallace is the answer for the QB position. Seneca f'n Wallace. I don't like Brady Quinn, but I still think you have to be nuts to put Wallace ahead of him. While they are playing musical chairs with QBs, they haven't done anything to fix so many of their other problems on the team. No wonder most everyone else still thinks of them as a joke.

Uhhh, I don't know what that article said when you first linked it but now it says the Browns are toying with the idea of signing Jake Delhomme. Wow. What are they trying to do?? Is some poor confused soul trying to tank the season so they can get LeBron James? Worked for the Cavs! Maybe they think Delhomme is going to pull a Kurt Warner-esque turnaround (he's not).
I know the tandem of Delhomme and Wallace would be better than Quinn and Anderson but so would the tandem of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Hell at this rate why not go fin Jake Plummer? He's probably available. I can't figure this franchise out. At all.

Yeah, when I originally posted the article, it only talked about the Browns shopping Quinn and having Wallace be a stop-gap starting QB for next season. Nothing about Delhomme; I didn't even know about that part until I saw your reply.
That said, I agree with you 100%. I liked Delhomme, but he is so past his prime. And it doesn't matter which team he goes to, without a Steve Smith-type to throw to, he's going to struggle even more. I don't see the point of this; they're just better off trying the Quinn experiment for one more season (maybe allowing him to play a full season for once) and check their options for the next season (if there is one).

He has a big contract, so signing someone like Delhomme and having him mentor Quinn would be a good idea and better idea than trading Quinn and drafting someone who probably wouldn't be very good. I'd use the draft pick for an offensive lineman.

Your solution is probably for them to do that again. Which is contradictory if you think he sucks yet doing the same thing again would solve the problem.

Definitive Plans - Plan 1: Trade Quinn, get a/some picks, let Wallace act as a stopgap/mentor, draft a QB to develop (even in round 3 or 4 would be fine. LeFevour?).
I would also note that in this plan, it's quite impossible to draft Brady Quinn again as he is certainly not draft eligible this year. It's not contradictory to want someone new and possibly better.
Plan 2: Keep Quinn, develop him as your starter, pray he develops with decent mentoring and finally having some consistency in the coaching area.
In either case, Holmgren has made it clear that there will not be a QB derby as in the past several years. THANK GOD.

Congrats Browns fans, you got an over the hill QB that if resurrects his career will give you a few more seasons tops and lost Brady Quinn that if ever starts his career will give you 10-15 good seasons for basically nothing. Hope you are all happy now. Thank god the Raiders and Bills are around to keep you from being the stupidest organization in football, eh?
