Saw this last night.
FIRST, it is NOT a love triangle, as the trailers suggest.
A totally heartbreaking movie that had the entire audience crying at the end. I don't want to give too much away, but Tobey McGuire was so completely awesome in this, he deserves some award nominations. POWERFUL story about a guy with post traumatic stress disorder.
Don't take a first date to this flick. But, do check it out. The first hour and a half was a bit slow, but the last thirty minutes saved it, and made it worth seeing.

Dammit, had a long reply written out about this. The bullet points I wanted to make

- This is an excellently directed and well written film.

- I'd disagree it started slow, and it made the last 20 minutes even more powerful and intense.

- One of the best movies of 2009.

Good movie, but kind of a victim of the Over-Revealing Trailer. I wish that scene of Maguire asking Gyllenhaal

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
if he screwed his wife
hadn't been included in the previews, since that was a holy shit moment if there ever was one.

Agreed on Maguire getting some award attention, this was arguably the best role I've ever seen him in.

Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
