It's a move that instantly weakens the Broncos in 3 areas they can least afford to lose players. True, Anderson & Pryce have had injuries in the past but the Browncos players they got on the defensive front last year don't measure up to Pryce and Tatum Bell may actually be more injury prone than Anderson. The one that really hurts is Putzier in that he was a go to guy for Plummer last year and was really appearing to be coming into his own this year.
I am sure that this will not be the last player move(s) that I disagree with and will be followed by many more moves by other teams that will be lamented by their fans. Such is life in the NFL.

I think they think they can grab any guy out of a Junior College and get 1000 yards out of him, and until they are proven wrong I'm not betting against it. If changing RB every year was going to backfire on them, you think it would have happened by now.
Jeb seems like a loss, but I wonder if he is.

His contract was for $1.5 million, and there was $500K ammortized from his signing bonus. Now, the $1.5 million goes away, but the rest of the signing bonus ($1.5 million) gets added in.
So he would have cost $2 mil against the cap to play for Denver, now he costs $2 mil against the cap and he'll be playing for another team.

Well, that's just drunk talk! Sweet, beautiful drunk talk.... |
