Lesnar is a NCAA wrestling champion. O'Haire was one of the few things worth watching when WCW was tanking, a huge guy with nasty looking power moves and high flying moves (including the swanton and a turn-buckle back-flip to his feet). I can't speak for Shelton, because I haven't seen him, but in the case of the other two, yes Roidz do = Skillz!
(If you only saw O'Haire in the WWF, I could understand where you coming from, because the only cool thing he did there was give an inverted TKO to freakin' Bradshaw)
Brock Lesnar's tag-team partner in OVW was another U of Minnesota wrestler, Shelton Benjamin (2nd place in 1998 NCAAs and 5th in 1997). They were the Minnesota Stretching Crew. It would make sense that they eventually team up on Raw somewhere down the line.

Lesnar is closer to Scott Steiner of a few years (as in 1997 or 1998) ago than he is to the Rock. And (unless you've seen him in OVW, which I haven't) we haven't seen him wrestle yet, so to compare him to Kurt Angle is a bit premature. Maybe he is a one-move wonder.
Sure, he has gotten a ton of hype before finally debuting, but I would like to think we all form our own opinions, w/o taking said hype into consideration. =)
Personally, I've been fine with the Batista character, but I see what you mean. I think the main reason Batista seems blander than a year or two ago is possibly because he hasn't had a partner or someone to really play off of.
