| #1 Posted on 1.2.02 1831.23 | If I'm hearing correctly, Britney now is singing covers of "Uptown Girl" (Billy Joel) and "I Love Rock And Roll" (Joan Jett & The Blackhearts) as well as the Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction". Though I can stand her "original" songs, her covers drive me crazy.
Are there other covers I should know about?

Must've been a money thing. She sang a duet in the UK on the Frank Skinner show, but they paid her £100 000 for the privilege. She was pretty good too by the looks of things (I've only saw a clip mind). Not £100 000 good, but pretty good. Or at least pretty.

Technically, she "sang" her first song about not being a girl, but the backup singers' microphones were turned up just as loud as hers, effectively drowning her out at many key parts of the song.
The second song was a "dance routine" performance, complete with costumes and Back Up Dancers. It was during this "performance" that she lip synched. I went to the bathroom.
She was also hosting said show, so I doubt it was a money thing.

Probably not in that case. Great exposure. HOWEVER - she normally commands a quarter million dollars a concert. I kinda laughed a few years ago when she was offered 17 million dollars from some guy to be the one to deflower her - considering she makes that after 61 performances, which I'm sure she's more than capable of racking up in 6 months.
