As a technical wrestler, Bret Hart was good... but I'm not convinced that he's as good as Benoit, Angle or Storm.
All in all, I think that Bret Hart has simply gone insane. He's become paranoid and delusional. And frankly, if I never saw him in the ring again, I wouldn't complain. There are people who have better attitudes and can put on better matches than Bret.
“Bow-wow-wow, yippee-yo-yippee-yay, Oil of Olay all day, every day!”
You cannot compare those three. Angle is an amateur wrestler, a world champ/gold medalist even. As Angle says in his book, he can take down everybody in the WWF (that includes Benoit). Bret never had an amateur background like that.
Benoit is way more aggressive and much more a high flyer. Storm might be the closest thing, and he is smaller and faster than Bret, which makes him using different techniques.
And I don't think many of us complain about the fact that we will never see Bret in another match again.. He complains indeed and his brand of wrestling might not be a hit anymore these days. It is just, Bret was one of the best ever and that is a fact that cannot be denied.
The real reason HBK has never made that much talked about comeback used to bounce out of synch with the other Nitro Girls.
I thought I'd start this prediction thread for the 'most dangerous wrestling event of the year', as TNA puts it. I've not really been following TNA for the last six weeks but I'll give it a shot anyway:
