Pretty neat stuff. And if he so pleases...he can milk the crowd for a good 20 minutes.

I believe Michaels has stated that if Bret is to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, he would not be in attendance at the event. And after all, Bret said he doesn't want to be involved in any storylines or anything on screen anymore, and I am sure that would hold true especially in a storyline involving HBK.
And I'm sure Bret didn't appreciate all the potshots HBK took at him in his book.
I will say though, that I think it is poor planning that they announce Bret as being the first inducted for 2006. I think it would have been smarter if they announced him as the last inductee, just like they did for Hogan last year.

Shawn said if that's what it took to get Bret to be there, then he wouldn't go. But he didn't say "I won't go if Bret's there", like he was boycotting it or anything. I think Meltzer or somebody took some shots at Shawn for that comment, like "oh, he thinks it all revolves around him", which seemed kinda unfair since it sounded like something the interviewer probably asked him. | Jackson

Oh, my mistake then. I take back what I originally said and thanks for clearing that up, SEADAWG.
Still, based on his book, I don't think HBK has changed very much in my opinion.

Probably to end all rumors & speculations right away. IMO this is bigger than Hogan's induction. Great great news.

| #16 Posted on 14.2.06 0459.52 | When I was at a 1PW event in the UK in early Jan Hart did a Q & A session. When quizzed about WM22 Hart said that nobody should expect to see him there- although he did say that he was interested in being recognised in the HOF if he ever got an apology from the company. I doubt he would ever sign any sort of contract with the company though- even the DVD was a bit of an odd occurance.

Everyone's expecting Eddie to be inducted this year, and it would probably be awkward to induct two wrestlers who died tragically before their time, since grief for Eddie would overshadow Owen.
Besides that, the intrigue around Bret's induction is sure to make him the center of attention like Hogan was last year, to the point that fans barely noticed the other inductees. Inducting Owen the same year as Bret doesn't necessarily do Owen any favors. I'd ask Bret to come back and do it some other year. | Batista79

It will certainly be huge in Canada. Hogan getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame got actual news coverage on actual news programs as though it was an actual news story. Bret getting in will be bigger still.
