I saw Bret Hart last night. Y'see, I work in a movie theatre, and it's the one frequented by such luminaries as Jarome Iginla, Robyn Regehr, most of Stampede Wrestling, The British Bulldog and Owen Hart [before their untimely deaths}. Bret came in last night and saw Signs. He seemed in good health and good spirits, given what's happened to him. He looks a LOT older than he really is, but again given what's happened...it's understandable. I was glad to see him, and I actually had to stop myself from marking out like a six-year old wrestling fan when he passed me in the hall. He smiled at me when I noticed him. I was glad.
He's still the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. And y'know what? I'm glad he's okay.

Good to hear that he is back up and around. Wonder if he liked the film?
These commercials are superfine because they pay for the production costs of putting CHRIS MOTHERFUCKING BENOIT on my GODDAMN TV SCREEN! I will GO GREYHOUND! I am thinking OUTSIDE THE BUN! – Dean Rasmussen 8/1/2002 Smackdown Workrate Report
that movie was pretty damn good (well minus certain parts that sucked monkey nipple) but it's good to hear about bret getting up and around again, and i think i speak for everyone when i say that i hope he gets better very soon.
there was a two page spread in the toronto sun (the sunday sun) yesterday (8/18) which had an interview with bret talking about the accident, and the rehab and work he's had to do to even get where he is now. he compared lifting dice and putting them in a cup to lifting 300 pound weights over his head. such a tough road, and once again, all the best to bret and his family and i hope he gets better very soon.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta; I can tell you that Bret is considered a god here. Myself, I don't really like him much, but I was deeply saddened when I heard of his medical condition.
There is something messed up if you want to see any of this. Male-on-female violence is uncomfortable to watch on the whole, but the WWE to be building up to a match where the owner of the company is whaling on his daughter is absolutley deplorable.
