According to WWE.com Brock Lesnar will be meeting with WWE officals soon.

Thank God, WWE really needs some star power, and that a surprise is not on the cards is unusual but it would've been leaked anyway.

Now they'll regret cutting those wrestlers. They could have used them as fodder, especially Spike, the guy Brock KILLED in his TV debut.

Is it too much to hope he breaks the Master Lock?

They should give him Mordecai's old salary (and gimmick).

Seriously, though, that's pretty much a lock that he's already signed if they're posting it on their website (see also The Radicalz in 2000). I smell Brock-Batista at WM22.

If they put him on Smackdown, they're going to save the show. But I can see where he would fit well on Raw, too.

They'll put him on Smackdown. His return could even have been part of their motivation behind certain draft moves.

You know that might be the best news for WWE all year. As much as he left them high & dry, he'll be a sight for sore eyes.

It's really hard to say if he'll be cheered like a hero or booed out of the building.

Also, your thread subject is incorrect. He ain't back YET. This *could* be the .com folks' equivalent of playing Matt Hardy's theme during the wedding and later they'll laugh at you for being such a sucker.

IF Brock is coming back... IF... then there's only one way to punish him for quitting last year and throwing Smackdown into upheaval -- an extended program with Triple H where Brock goes down clean to the Pedigree.

Oh wait, is that a way to punish Brock, or us...?

Heh, I got a chuckle out of reading the latest update...
"When asked by WWE.com if a meeting with Brock Lesnar was scheduled to take place, the Chairmans office issued this response: This is none of your business."

Smackdown or Raw?

Raw - He's feuded with Cena, Angle, and the Big Show before. Nothing with Trips yet, but honestly that doesn't sound very intriguing. HBK/Lesnar is the only match on there that'd be worth while.

Smackdown is undoubtedly the place to go for him. The show needs the draw power and not to mention the fact that Batista vs. Lesnar has buyrate written all over it. He's also yet to have a feud with JBL.

Not official, but good start.

Apparently they are waiting for a Lesnar comment which will be along the lines of ''No comment, get out of my way''

I really don't get this ''Smackdown sucks, they need him more'' thing. Over the last few months Smackdown has been up there with Raw and more often then not has a very good all round show. In my opinion it is the better show at the moment. No Diva search, no masterlocks, no 20 minute promos as often as Raw, mainly wrestling which is nice to see on a wrestling show and it has more intriguing characters. The fact that its taped and people read spoilers to decide whether to watch it and take opinions from a handful of people with bad seats is not the way to opinionate the show. I've read comments of from people saying they haven't watched it in ages and just says it sucks anyway because they didn't like the last show they saw.

I don't think it matters at all where he goes as long as they book him right. If they try to job him out it would be ridiculous. Hopefully Vince is smarter then that. I also like how WWE.com is handling the situation with the updates. Keeps the story intriguing in a work sense.

The other way to punish him is to program him with Undertaker (aka the job that Brock wasn't interested in after WMXX) for his 'welcome back' feud and have UT tombstone him into oblivion. There are ways to do it while still protecting Brock's tough-guy image, since a) losing to the Taker isn't exactly a huge blot on your record and b) they could just excuse it as ring rust.

In addition the aforementioned feuds with Batista and JBL, there's also Brock-Benoit (man, some sweet matches could come of this), Brock-RKO (it'll be fun seeing Brock just pound the hell out of that pissant Orton) and Brock-Eddie (seeing Brock try to get his job back from No Way Out). The way to go is have Brock come back as a face for the first few months, have him be all humble wanting to win the fans' respect, and then have him viciously turn in order to set up a match with Batista at WM22.

"You can look the other way once, and it's no big deal, except it makes it easier for you to compromise the next time, and pretty soon that's all your doing; compromising, because that's the way you think things are done. You know those guys I busted? You think they were the bad guys? Because they weren't, they weren't bad guys, they were just like you and me. Except they compromised... Once." -- Jack Bauer

There's a Brock interview on the WWE site, but the headline counters the article's tone and Brock's comments.

A more mature Lesnar ready for return
    July 6, 2005

WWE fans have not seen Brock Lesnar since his WrestleMania XX match against Goldberg. Shortly afterwards, the former WWE Champion left the sports-entertainment world in favor of pursuing an NFL career. Today, however, Lesnar has confirmed that he is scheduled to meet with Vince McMahon tomorrow to talk about a possible return to the ring.

Im excited about getting my working boots on and getting back to business, Lesnar told WWE.com during a phone interview.

While Lesnar is excited about a return to the ring, he realizes that nothing is definite. I dont know whats going to happen tomorrow in the meeting, said Lesnar. I dont know if Im returning to WWE, I really dont. In order for this to happen, it has to work for both Vince and myself.

A return to WWE may come as a shock to some fans, as the Internet has been buzzing recently about the rumors of a strained relationship between Lesnar and McMahon. We need to get on the same page, admitted Lesnar, regarding their relationship. Theres some hard feelings on both ends of this. Sometimes it takes a little time to heal. Well know more tomorrow.

The former WWE Superstar admits that some of the responsibility rests on him. I had some maturing to do. There comes a time in everybodys life when you have to grow up, said Lesnar. But professional wrestling is in my blood. I may have second guessed it in the past, but I know it now.

Be sure to check back here as more information on Brock Lesnars meeting with Vince McMahon becomes available.

Great news, hopefully Brock really is mature enough to make this work.

I gauren-damn-tee you that right this very second Vince is salivating over the thought of Brock-Batista headlining WM22. I'm betting you it will be Face Batista trying to win the belt from Champion Heel brock too.

Brock just doesn't work as a face. The crowd turned him face last time, just becuase he was so over, and he couldn't pull it off. He ate milk and cookies with Kurt angle... um, ok. He works best as a tweener. Almost a stone-cold "I beat up the bad guys, but I'm no good guy" type of character. His stint as an insane monster heel who pushed one-legged wrestlers down stairs didn't work too well either.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "war" between Bischoff and Long over who gets to sign Lesnar to their show. Well, as long as neither of the GM offers him sex like Stephanie McMahon did with Scott Steiner...

Steph didn't even pay off on her offer. Daddy taught her well.

He belongs on Smackdown, but I have a nasty suspicion that they'll stick him on Raw simply because Raw is the only format for doing a live, "shocking" arrival. Same reason Rock, Austin, Foley, and Hogan only do Raw.

Maybe they could do the big comeback on Raw, and have Teddy Long point out that he can't pick and choose which show he goes to because the contract he walked out on was for Smackdown.

I was already almost planning on him breaking the Masterlock on Raw next week.

You also gotta wonder if Rena "Sable" Mero milked his money dry and he needs cash big time now.

And will he use that personal plane to travel?

I wonder if he'll be as good as he was when he left. It may take him some time to get back to that level, but knowing Brock, probably not as long as it would take just about anyone else.

They say they're in just talking to him but if they were just talking to him we being reading it on some wrtestling news site not wwe.com. It's safe to say he's back.
