As Darkmatcher said, we seem to make a big deal out of a MINOR improvement in HHH. Well, it's still better than NO improvement, now isn't it? I see what she means about him making a point then repeating it over and over in his recent promos, I agree there. But in this case, I don't know, I just got caught up in the emotion in his voice (There was emotion in there, believe me).

It's not like a laid back kind of thing like with Booker T last year (I have that on tape as proof). This is more raw and I dare say stinging than that. Though I have to also agree with Madame Manga about the "Deliciously evil grin" thing. I miss that like an old friend. But, baby steps I guess. That's why I haven't changed line 2 in my sig.

After a quarter of a century on this planet, there's three things I know for sure...
1)Ain't nothing like a Dirty Pair marathon on New Year's Eve.
2)I'd make a fine Mrs. HHH II.
3) I'd make an acceptable Mrs. Orton.

I thought this interview was much better then his Booker T interview last year. The Booker T one he pretty much denounced everything Booker accomplished... Making fun of the "5 time WCW champion" line by saying at the time WCW was a joke of a company and anyone could be champion including a second rate actor. Made Booker's entire history and career a joke and unimpressive.

This Benoit one had a much different feel to it. HHH put over Benoit's history, he acknowledged Benoit could very well be the "Hardest working man in wrestling". He talked about Benoit living in Japan to do this sport, struggling for years in America for this one opportunity... Of course he heels it up at the end by saying. Hard work doesn't necessary mean you will be successful and you won't be successful at Wrestlemania.

I thought it was a solid promo cause HHH really did tell a good story of building Benoit story up and then inserting himself as a bolder in Benoit dream... Bottom line I was lukewarm to Benoit/HHH before the interview and after it I wanted to see the match, so it worked for me. Well up until "Oh Shawn, shaaaaawn" music hits.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is lowered to YELLOW alert - Elevated (Due to Lesner still being champ, Benoit winning the Rumble, but HHH as champ is still a threat) 1/27

Get your WWE CD copy autographed by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus and Lilian Garcia after Raw... Oh MY! Christmas has come late. Can't get better then that.

Yeah, that "oh Shawn" thing can kill anybody's buzz. ;-)

As far as H v. Booker at last year's mania goes, I think that it was Hunter who got shafted at the event...What, their match was in the middle of the card?!? I know people will disagree, but Booker's not at H's level, take em on their best days and Hunter comes out on top ten times over.

Also, H had Flair at ringside cheating for him, that does not make it clean and Trips had to be helped to the back by said Nature Boy when the match was over. Booker's momentum fizzled out because he got injured soon thereafter.

I would have to disagree with that. There have been a few manias where there was a main event in the middle of the card, like Flair vs. Savage at WM8. Also, Brock won the rumble which to me meant that Angle vs. Brock should be featured as the main event. You win the rumble, you go on to have a match for the belt and HEADLINE mania.

I recently watched the HHH v. Booker match from mania, and it was a good match. I think a majority of people crapped on it because of the end. Booker's momentum fizzled because of that match. HHH talked down to him in every promo and the only way Booker could possibly prove him wrong would be to WIN the match. HHH pedigree'd Booker, Booker rolled over ONTO his back, and then about a minute later HHH pinned him. It left everyone deflated because it looked like if there was ever to be a moment where we should have been able to yell JOHNNY ACE and for Booker to kick out, this was it. It made Booker look like nothing because HHH pinned him after they lied around on the mat for awhile.

Booker was dropped back into the midcard to fued with Christian over the IC belt and then he sustained the injury. He didn't have much momentum after the HHH match, and that put him solidly off track.

The plan was allegedly to give Booker the Belt, but HHH felt that he should hold onto it so Goldberg would have a strong challenger.

On another note, the current rumor is that HHH is pushing for Edge to come to Raw post WM because he doesn't want to work with Benoit after mania. So goes the hope for Benoit leaving with the belt.

They gotta bring these back!!!:
"talk to the hand because the man don't understand." - "The Crippler" Chris Benoit
"...and that is the LAST WORD." - "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight
and of course: "Don't hate the playa...HATE THE GAME~!" - WCW World Champion Booker T

Again, people are taking rumor as fact.

You think WWE now is bad? Some of us had to live through 1993-1996!

They should call him Big Dave Batista. It's always good to have 'big' in your name. And there was a football hooligan in the 2000AD comics called Big Dave, and he was a badass.
