This was a mixed bag for me. I did not get the Batboy and Rubin bit at all. I'm sure I'm missing some obscure silver age storyline or something.

The Bat-Manga bit was decent. It really came off as a foreign cash in on an American character and had a goofy Speed Racer feel.

Finally, the Scooby Doo bit was all but perfect, but WHY did they not get Adam West and Burt Ward to reprise their roles as Batman and Robin??

It was an homage to Kurtzman Mad Magazine stuff.

I actually wonder why they didn't bring in Casey Kasem, who voiced both Shaggy and the Superfriends-era Robin?

Casey is retired. The last thing he voiced, AFAIK, was a British charity single with various cartoon characters doing a medley of hits sort of "We Are The World" style. He only agreed to voice Shaggy there because it was charity thing (and he insisted they show Shaggy as a vegetarian). I don't think he'd do a voice for anything less than that at this point.

Seems like Adam West would've been an easy grab though. He's practically a regular on Family Guy.

Wayne Robson, passes away (vancouversun.com) A fantastic character actor in his own right, but one of the funniest guys on The Red Green Show. I can't recall anything in any American releases outside of Welcome To Mooseport.
