He says he's good enough to play SG professionally, and he's going to hook up with a basketball coach to start preparing for the lockout. The article makes it sound like he plans on doing that, like, RIGHT NOW. I can't imagine the Dolphins would be in love with that idea, but the article says they're not worried about it. They must not think he'll follow through because if I were them, all that extra time playing basketball and NOT focusing on football would have me worried that Marshall would get injured, have a bad season, or both.
Marshall says he'll either play for the Nuggets or the Heat. Heh. I don't have anything against the guy, but I don't think the Heat need another shooting guard, and it's definitely not like they need the extra name recognition to put butts in seats. But maybe he can get a nice gig over in Europe? Or who knows, maybe the kid can actually play.
Marshall is a wide receiver whose name hasn't been mentioned in a few days, so he has to jump around and yell LOOK AT ME. Since Favre must not have had a bowel movement today worthy of being reported, ESPN had room to provide for Marshall. Besides, NBA is going to be locked out in 2011 anyway.
I chalk it up more to the fact he's in Miami, and the Heat's the hottest ticket in town (pun unintended). It isn't like he said he'd take a bench spot on the Grizzlies.
