I've tried everything else. Pills, gum, fake cigs & cold turkey. Nothing ever worked. This time things should be different.
At 32 years old (pushing 33) I'm feeling the impacts that smoking has done to my mind and body. For the last 17 years I couldn't do anything without smoking. Now I can't do anything because of smoking.
Well it's not that extreme, but Damn! Even kicking a soccer ball with my 2 year old for ten minutes drains me. Lets not even talk about how I feel after two flights of stairs!
I'm feeling pretty confident this go around though. Previously with all other attempts I was really depending on the smoking cessation to do the hard work. This time I really want to quit. I'm just tired of feeling the way that I do.
There is no doubt in my mind about the challenge I'm facing right now. It's still going to be difficult. However, I am better equipped mentally to deal with my situation. I'm just done smoking.

Haven't smoked in almost thirty years; but when I did:
Began with Salem, because that's what my dad smoked. Then Kools for awhile before switching to Newport.
Stayed with Newport for several years; then lost the flavor for menthol. Smoked Merit for a time; switched to Lark, but they could be tough to find at times, so I would buy Merit if I couldn't find them. Anyway, Lark was my brand at the time that I quit.
