Bradley Cooper is expanding his sci-fi resume. He is executive producer (and recurring guest star) of the upcoming Limitless TV series, a sequel series to the movie in which he starred. Now he's going to serve as executive producer of the TV adaptation of Hyperion (, the 25-year-old novel by Dan Simmons that won the Hugo award (the first of four novels collectively known as the Hyperion Cantos). Hyperion on Syfy was announced as an event series, which kind of reads like it will only cover the first novel (or perhaps the second as well, since it is a direct continuation of the first).

If you've never read any of the books (, I highly recommend all of them. They very clearly were a strong influence for Lost, if that interests you. Cannot wait to see how the show visualizes The Shrike.

You askew my mirror. I askew yours.
Behold, my plunger.

Not to dissuade from ordering through the W links, but the Lost set at Best Buy is coming with an extra disc of stuff and a "dharma" luggage tag.
