We reach the 10 Week mark here in the 2003 film year, and so far nothing really awesome has come out... Last year's Oscar nominated films are sticking around...while the usual early-year crap is still getting released. Luckily, the crapfest is almost over...

TW(LW) [Movement] FILM; Points [#1 Weekends, If Any]

4(6) [^] How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days; 104 [1]
5(4) [v] Catch Me If You Can; 101
6(5) [v] Kangaroo Jack; 96 [1]
7(8) [^] The Hours; 85
8(10) [^] Daredevil; 84 [2]
9(9) [-] Shanghai Knights; 84
10(7) [v] The Recruit; 82 [1]

16(15) [v] Two Weeks Notice; 59
17(17) [-] Darkness Falls; 53 [1]
18(18) [-] National Security; 52
19(-) [^] Cradle 2 The Grave; 46 [1]
20(19) [v] Maid In Manhattan; 45

The new trio of films opened semi-well, with Agent Cody Banks finishing second this weekend, followed by The Hunted. And waaaaaaaaaay back in 8th place is Willard. Overall, points-wise, Cody Banks sits at 38th place, with the Hunted at 39th and Willard 43rd. And who made the most green this weekend? Oscar nominee Queen Latifah's comedy Bringing Down The House was #1 for the second straight weekend, bringing it up to 22nd place.

Opening next week: Dreamcatcher and Piglet's Big Movie (Yeah, like ANYBODY is gonna see that...)

Piglet is being released theatrically? I thought it straight to Vid/DVD? Haven't they learned thier lesson yet, with Return To Neverland?

AngryJohnny, did you know your av isn't working?

I'm not dissing Piglet, I'm just saying it's not gonna make money in theatres and it's a waste for Disney to be releasing it theatrically. I'm down with the lil pink guy.

Hopefully, with two Matrix movies and X2, and the Hulk... Heck, in such a stacked year, expect Kangaroo Jack to fall far down the charts in a matter of months. For now, I'm glad a couple films have moved past it.

Well, it was "End of Days" for chrissake--you can't turn shit into gold. I mean, Arnold should even be allowed to make another movie after that crying bit he does at the end. But I kinda dug Arnold's appearance on SD!
