TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bobby Roode vs. (c) Kurt Angle I think this is gonna be a tremendous match as Angle is Angle and Roode is a really strong worker. The question is will we get a bunch of run ins by Immortal and have Fortune run down as well and have a brawl distracts from the match? Another question is will TNA have a swerve for swerves sake and have Storm turn on Roode? Angle on Impact promised no Immortal interference, but he's a heel and heels lie. I predict TNA for once will do the right thing and have Roode go over Angle clean as a whistle.
THE IMMORTAL BATTLES THE ICON: Hulk Hogan fights Sting This match should be an abomination This match will very likely surpass HHH Vs Steiner and Hart Vs McMahon as the worst match of the last ten years. This match will have tons and tons of interference, but in the end I'll say Sting picks up the win thanks to Jeff Hardy who is forgiven for his sins by Sting.
FULL METAL MAYHEM: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn The build to this match has been rather non existent over the last month or so. These guys have a long history and Lynn was able to pull out a very good match from RVD at Destination X That was likely his best match in Rvd's TNA run as he's mostly mailed it in. Anyway I expect a really strong match once again and for RVD to go over and Lynn probably to probably not be used again by TNA.
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray These two guys have been feuding for a while and had a good brawl a few months ago at Hardcore Justice. I suspect this will be a pretty good brawl as well as they'll bring out, and the weapons and plunder and all that. Ray has been a pleasant surprise since becoming a singles wrestler as he's had really good matches and has become one of the best heels in the business. He's probably the best candidate for Roode's first feud as the world champ. He's beat Anderson the last time they wrestled and held the advantage the entire feud, so I suspect that the stale and terribly obnoxious and not entertaining Mr. Anderson will go over thanks to help from Abyss.
I QUIT MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels This feud has been booked very well with both guys playing their parts very well They had a disapointing match at Destination X but followed that up with an excellent match on Impact six weeks ago where Daniels beat Styles in a fluky way and has bragging about it since. I wish this was a straight wrestling match instead of I quit match. I think this match has a good chance of stealing the show. I'll go with Styles winning this one. I am not sure where either guy goes after this.
TRIPLE THREAT: Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan
Joe has jobbed to both guys numerous times and really is a shell of his old self. It could be a decent big man match and I'll say Crimson gets his revenge by beating Joe clean.
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Austin Aries(c) vs. Brian Kendrick TNA has done nothing with the X division after Destination X besides for adding a weight limit. It's disappointing that they haven't done anything with Aries. He is a great heel and would be a perfect guy to build the X Division around. Kendrick's goofball character doesn't connect with anyone. Since Kendrick went over Aries on Impact I'll say Aries retains in a very solid match.
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Winter vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne The story is about Velvet's quest to win the Knockouts title, so you'd think she'd win it here, but I suspect Karen Angle will get involved and help Madison Rayne win the title.
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Mexican American (c) vs. Ink Inc
I read that this match may be moved to the pre-show and I hope it's true. This should be a crappy match that few care about and I'll predict that Mexican America retains the titles but the crappy feud continues
Bobby vs. Kurt. It has to be Bobby, no stupid run ins, no whiff of Jeff Hardy or another shenanigans if there are, let be done early on and go with a clean finish. This is the best storyline they have done in years, if they fuck it up now, no one is going to trust them to do the right thing again.
Hogan vs. Sting. Hogan wins in what could be the Worst Match of the Year. Zero interest in this.
RVD vs. Jerry Lynn. Lynn. Could be a surprising good match or a clusterfuck. I expect Rob to finally put Jerry over.
Anderson vs. Bully Ray. Bully. He needs it to face Bobby down the line.
AJ vs. Daniels. Daniels. I expect some weird twist to this ala Rock/Foley RR'99.
KO 4-way. Velvet. She is the face of the company and has been for some time. She deserves the belt and it will lead to some fresh storylines.
Triple Threat. Crimson. Even though Joe should tear through these guys, they see something in Crimson, I don't. Probably a few years younger Morgan is what they see and that should worry Morgan.
X-Divison. Aries. Kendrick brings nothing to the table while Aries could be a star.
Tag Match. Lax. Not sure why other than to keep them strong til MCMG comes back, hopefully.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.
Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
Roode. I don't necessarily have faith that it will be clean, and I certainly don't have faith that they'll handle his title reign the way they should, but they haven't come this far to have him lose here.
Hogan. When has Hogan ever been willing to job? Especially when he doesn't know if he'll get the win back? So I can't expect him to job in what could be (and if he has even a lick of sense WILL be) his last match. Sting's never been so hard to get to job.
RVD. No one seems to think they're going to keep Lynn around anyway.
Bully Ray. Everyone seems happy with how he's doing, and it will be easy to make the ending screwy to protect Anderson.
Styles. He's a more important part of the company.
Velvet Sky. I was thinking that even before Graves said that the storyline has been leading to that. (What, you think I know what's going on with TNA?) (And, yes, I know what's going on enough to know that calling it "TNA" is an example of me not knowing what's going on with it.)
Morgan. Going back and forth between him and Crimson, but something's telling me Morgan.
Kendrick. No one wants to see that, so that's what they'll do. Then they'll have Aries win it back in a month or two.
Mexican America. If they were going to do a title change, it would be on the PPV, not on Facebook.
TNA World Title Kurt Angle v. Bobby Roode This will most likely be the main event, to try and get the comatose crowd back into the show after the abomination that is Hogan/Sting. Kurt's always been good about putting over the new guys when the situation calls for it (see Lethal, Jay for past precedent), so this will likely end with Roode's shining moment. I like to think they wouldn't be dumb enough to have Storm turn on Roode here. Roode wins the title clean.
Hulk Hogan v. Sting Is there any possible way that this DOESN'T result in Worst Match of the Year by a good mile? It's a boatload of clusterfuckery to try and cover for both guys' limitations. With this likely to be Hogan's last match, I expect him to win by shenanigans.
RVD v. Jerry Lynn I can't believe we're taking this ride again. RVD wins to polish off this feud, once and for all.
Falls Count Anywhere Mr. Anderson v. Bully Ray Could be a dark horse for Match of the Night. Anderson wins a brutal brawl.
I Quit Match AJ Styles v. Christopher Daniels Can't picture AJ submitting and the company's never been solidly behind Daniels. AJ wins.
Samoa Joe v. Crimson v. Matt Morgan They insist on keeping Crimson undefeated, for some reason. So Crimson wins.
X Division Championship Austin Aries v. Brian Kendrick I love Aries and it's time for him to move on. Aries wins convincingly and moves on to Shelley.
Knockouts Championship Winter vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne I would hope this results in Mickie getting the title back, but I'm not holding my breath. Winter retains.
TNA Tag Titles Mexican American v. Ink Inc In any logical institution, Ink Inc would be in jail. But in the backwards world of TNA Land, they get a tag title shot. And they have "filler" written all over them. Mexican America retains.
1. When Goddamn horrible and Fucking Terrible just isn't enough to describe how shitty something is
2. Something Abysmal
3. The 10-10-11 edition of Raw
Here's how it will go, pissing off me and the entire iwc.
Angle def. Roode when Storm heels and joins Immortal
Hogan def. Sting in like 3 mins with Hardy re-joining Immortal
Anderson def. Ray pissing off everyone in Philadelphia
Rob Van Dam def. Jerry Lynn and then takes time off for whatever
Kendrick def. Aries for a feel good win even though he has no fans presumably cuz he hooks Hulk up with weed.
The womens title match happens and no one remembers who won by thursday.
Crimson def. Morgan and Joe(the only guy with a fanbase or has ever drawn a sincere reaction)
And why the hell did they bring in the Anarquia guy? Homicide was over, and good.
AJ Styles def Chris Daniels, in hopefully a great match. One thing Impact TNA NWA Wrestling whatever, does right is let these guys have great matches. They should have just combined this match with RVD/Lynn and give them 20 minutes and tell them to have a damn classic opener.
Before I start with my predictions I want to make it clear that I don't watch Impact although I usually read the results online.
TNA World Title, Kurt Angle v. Bobby Roode: From what I've read they have done a great job building Roode, and I think they will get this one right and have Roode go over cleanly.
Hulk Hogan v. Sting: Why god why? That's all I can say about this match. There is no need for it. Hogan wins though after everybody that's available interferes.
RVD v. Jerry Lynn: I remember seeing this match on one of the first ECW on TNN shows, I liked it then. Now its a decade later both men are somewhat past their primes, but I still have hope they will give it there all and put on a decent match. RVD wins
Falls Count Anywhere, Mr. Anderson v. Bully Ray: I thought they were both in Immortal? Anyway they are really high on Anderson and this will be a decent hardcore brawl.
I Quit Match, AJ Styles v. Christopher Daniels: AJ seems to be one of the faces of TNA so it makes no sense having him submit to a guy you are never going to really give the ball to. AJ wins
Samoa Joe v. Crimson v. Matt Morgan: Who is Crimson? I've read about him, but haven't seen him. Crimson wins and Samoa Joe takes the pin.
X Division Championship, Austin Aries v. Brian Kendrick: Who's champion here? I've seen a few Aries matches on recommendation of a friend, he's good. Kendrick is a former star in the WWE so he wins.
Knockouts Championship, Winter vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne: I have no idea who's champion, and I really don't care. Velvet Sky wins.
TNA Tag Titles, Mexican American v. Ink Inc: I know Ink Inc. is Shannon Moore and some other guy. I have no idea who Mexican American is, but TNA seems to always want an angry Mexican on the roster so I say Mexican American wins.
This PPV has potential to be surprisingly good. Not near enough to make me order it, but still I think if they make the right booking decisions this could be a contender for PPV of the year.
THE IMMORTAL BATTLES THE ICON: Hulk Hogan fights Sting I will be shocked and disappointed if this is not the main event. Roode/Angle would work on a normal pay per view, but at Bound for Glory nothing compares to Hogan/Sting. This match has almost had a two year build, nothing is going to touch that. To put that in perspective, from Bash at the Beach 1996 to Starrcade 1997 there was a 17 month build. By my count this match has had a 23 month build. If nothing else, that's a significant amount of patience on TNA's part! Its been a fun ride, but I'm not sure what more can be said about this feud. Winner: Sting
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bobby Roode vs. (c) Kurt Angle I've never before seen a push like Roode's getting now. A loss would rather Luger him. Winner: Bobby Roode
FULL METAL MAYHEM: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn Jerry Lynn is a jobber for RVD. Its not what I'd like to see, but such is his fate in life. Winner: RVD
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray I would love to see Bully Ray win, and he might, but he's been avoiding getting his comeupance since his feud with Devon. I suspect he gets his karmic due here. Hopefully, he bounces back in time to take the title from Roode at Genesis. Winner: Mr. Anderson
I QUIT MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels Daniels:Styles::Lynn:RVD What's next for Daniels after this? I'm up for either him rejoining Fortune, or hooking up with Flair to form a new evil Fortune. Winner: AJ Styles
TRIPLE THREAT: Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan Daniels:Styles::Lynn:RVD::Samoa Joe:Everyone and Anyone, as such he will eat the pin here. Morgan wins the match, but doesn't defeat Crimson, thus setting up a showdown between them at Turning Point. Hopefully, Joe gets attacked and kidnapped by a van full of thugs again. Winner: Matt Morgan
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Austin Aries(c) vs. Brian Kendrick I've been ignoring the TV when any segment with Jesse Sorenstan or Austin Aries is on. I don't dislike Aries, but he's just not involved with anything interesting. As such, I am basically guessing here. Winner: Austin Aries
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Winter (c) vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne Velvet Sky has gone a long time without winning the title. I think she wins it here, and goes on to lose it to Sarita. Winner: Velvet Sky
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Mexican America (c) vs. Ink Inc A title changing hands on the pre-show? I think not. After BfG, I see post-Immortal Jeff Jarrett joining Mexican America. Winner: Mexican America
THE IMMORTAL BATTLES THE ICON: Hulk Hogan fights Sting I don't even see how Hogan is gonna be able to do anything. His knees, hips, and back are gone. Sting isn't nearly in that condition, but he is not even the same man he was when he started TNA. His match with Flair was awful. The only way this is even watchable is with a ton of interference. What I'd personally like to see is Samoa Joe come out and just MURDER both guys and say the main event just got cancelled. But realistically, I expect botched Immortal interference leading Hogan to split from Bischoff. Winner: Sting
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bobby Roode vs. (c) Kurt Angle Roode has great momentum and this is the only angle TNA has put out that has gotten praise since Destination X. Of course, that didn't lead to anything, so it wouldn't surprise me if this didn't either. Winner: Angle
FULL METAL MAYHEM: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn Will be surprisingly good. I'd be satisfied if it is as good as their Destination X match. Winner: RVD
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray I hate both guys, but at least this is an angle that has had a long build and the stips are appropriate to the angle and both guys' strengths. Winner: Mr. Anderson
I QUIT MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels We are getting a Russorific amount of gimmick matches. I'd rather see something that played to pure wrestling as this doesn't feel like a blood feud. Ironman or something like that. I wish they'd give Daniels a short title run for his years in the biz, but I doubt they will. Winner: AJ Styles
TRIPLE THREAT: Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan This should have been Monsters Ball if they were gonna go all gimmick crazy. This will be a real test of what Joe can do and if he even cares anymore. I expect the love affair with Crimson to continue. Winner: Crimson
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Austin Aries(c) vs. Brian Kendrick Why in the hell is Kendrick still in the title picture?? Seems like we've had this match a hundred times by now and I figured we would have moved on to Shelly/Aries by now. Winner: Austin Aries
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Winter (c) vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne Speaking of the same match a hundred times, when is the last time we had a KO title match that wasn't some combo of these 4? Velvet will get the belt because she's the only one of the 4 anyone cares about. Maybe we'll at least get a run in by Gail Kim or something. Winner: Velvet Sky
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Mexican America (c) vs. Ink Inc Remember when the tag scene was the one thing even the TNA haters complemented them on? Me either. These teams both suck. The match won't be awful, but I can't see it being anything special. Winner: Mexican America
Roode Sting Lynn Mr. Anderson AJ Styles Aries Crimson Winter Mexican America
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
Bobby Roode vs. (c) Kurt Angle -Even TNA isn't stupid enough to have Roode win after the build up. I'm sure his reign will rank just slightly lower then Jack Swaggers title reign, though (if he even still has it after the Impact tapings). I fully expect Hardy, so that the focus goes to Angle and Hardy and completely shuffles Roode out of the picture (which makes sense if you heard the Hogan interview).
THE IMMORTAL BATTLES THE ICON: Hulk Hogan fights Sting -Loser=The Fans. I have no desire to see this match. I'm sure it will be overbooked to hell. Either that or Russo goes back to the finger poke of doom bag and has Sting join Immortal or some stupid thing like that.
FULL METAL MAYHEM: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn -Rob Van Dam, why not? I have no idea what Full metal Mayhem is nor do I really have any interest in seeing this.
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray - Mr. Anderson keeps getting pushed, for some absurd reason. Ray has been good but I can't see him winning here.
I QUIT MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels - I predict a really good match that no one will care about after the fact. Seriously, they've both been so marginalized the past few months it doesn't matter. AJ will win, since he's been in the mix more often then Daniels, though (although, again, given the comments by Hogan.. who knows).
TRIPLE THREAT: Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan - As if Samoa Joe has a chance. Crimson has his Faux Goldberg thing going. Can't see him losing here.
X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Austin Aries(c) vs. Brian Kendrick - How the X-Division has fallen. A year ago we had Douglas Williams vs. Jay Lethal and this year we get Aries vs. Kendrick, whom I care so little about. TNA has pretty much killed this division so it doesn't really even matter.
KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP: Winter vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne - Same here. How often will these four people be in the main even? I'd love to see Winter win, since she kind of got screwed out of a long reign last time in favour of Mickie but, some how, I see Velvet winning to continue the Jarrett Sky stupidity.
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Mexican American (c) vs. Ink Inc - Remember when the tag team division was heralded as one of the best? Yeah. Given that it's not even on the PPV.. why should we care. Mexican America wins because... why not.
Before Hulkamania really became a thing in the U.S., Hogan was over huge in Japan, and supposedly he did more technical stuff (by his admittedly modest standards) over there. Enziguiris and everything! Mom would be so proud. EDIT:
