I just got done watching the final two-parter from last night (Raw took precedent). I thought, while Denny and Alan's marriage was a bit too over the top for me, it fit right in as far as absurdity that made this show great. I was also glad to see a sort-of resolution in that it looks like none of the lawyers we've gotten to know will be staying on with Chang, Poole & Schmidt (even though Shirley having a problem with the Chinese seemed out of character for her). I'm glad they went out that way rather than continuing at the law firm.
On the other hand, last week's episode with Carl's case against the TV networks, where they completely tore down the fourth wall, was absolutely hysterical. Too bad they couldn't fit that into this episode.
I'll miss the show...was one of the few I made it a habit of watching no matter what.
I always enjoyed the show, but never enough to view it regularly, or add it to my TiVo. But I did catch the final, and it was a fitting end to the series.
As for the 4th wall, there were a couple instances where they did seem to address it. When Denny and Alan were discussing their marriage they asked if they had jumped the shark, and wondered if there was another series out there for two married male lawyers, and noted it would probly have to be on another network.

You know, that whole mess felt like the perfect and obvious progression of their relationship. They were already at the point that they resembled a couple who had been together for decades. They each know the other better then they know themselves. I was more into thinking "What took them so long?"
I thought Jerry and Katie's first kiss was kinda sweet.
Saw this one last weekend. It was half-funny. The other half was full of jokes that weren't funny because they tried too hard. Or else they weren't jokes at all.
