"Black Widow" was the first ep this season; "Schadenfreude" aired last night. I am loving the writing, and the cast is so diverse! Wow. Heather Locklear was too too much! I just love Spader and Shatner's scenes together....

Give it time. While I haven't seen last night's yet, I know that David E. Kelley hacked up parts of the episodes ABC didn't air last season and edited them together with new scenes featuring his new cast. Once the full new episodes start airing, we'll be able to see how the new cast meshes with the old.
Too bad Rhona Mitra and Monica Potter aren't coming back. I haven't heard why they're out, though. I know Rhona's on Nip/Tuck, but I haven't heard any other news.

I heard that the producers simply didn't feel that those two had chemistry with the rest of the cast. I don't like Mitra, and I like Potter even less. If they're going to make Julie Bowen a whiny neurotic for the rest of the series, I'll pass on her, too.
I love Shatner, Bergen, and Spader, but the jury is still out for the rest of the cast. I'd also like to see the storylines go back to some of the darker things they did last season. And I'm steamed that they never told the outcome of the death row episode last season (with the to be continued... at the end of it).
It also seems they're giving more screen time to Mark Valley's character...his "I'm FBI but not FBI and I never said FBI" thing was great...a little less of the Paul, and they killed off the little midget guy...this season is making it very enjoyable.
Thread ahead: Hey, Nic Cage, how do you predetermine that your new baby wil get the crap beaten out of him? Next thread: History of Violence (spoiler-ish) Previous thread: 10-5 LOST item online (spoilers)
For the record, I don't like Larry the Cable Guy, but we had fun at the movie nonetheless. While Mater did have more to do this time, this really felt like more of an ensemble film to me than the previous outing.
