In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company’s policy.
Does this go into effect after he is healthy enough to return? How does that work with a guy who's out already with an injury?
Who? If anything, it will probably lead to either Rey just retiring or Rey doing one last run probably from SummerSlam to Mania then calling it a career. I wonder if he was considered a two time abuser after the Mexican Prescriptions from a few years ago.
Update. It looks like his Wizard World Philly Sunday one day only appearance got shelved, too. Good thing, I choose to go with Punk on Saturday. Sucks for those kids with tickets though. Wonder if they will bring in someone to make it up.

So who all has made it to the Two Strikes Club now? Jeff Hardy, Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio for sure. Is William Regal in there? I am sure there must be more.

That's the previous strike I was thinking of. I dont remember the Mexican pharmacy thing at all.
His 2009 failure was after failing a normal test. Rey blamed a doctor subscribed medication for knee/arm injuries. He wasn't on the list for Signature Pharmacy case, according to the first article I googled.

I recall him blaming the WWE front office. His story was that the prescription was perfectly legit but because he was shipped overseas the day after getting it, he didn't have time to report it properly.

Ouch...see you there on Saturday!
P.S. - I realized I made a typo in the subject line...can Editor Z please fix it to say "60" days?

Meltzer says Rey failed a test back on February 13, when he visited RAW as they ran in San Diego. He was just dropping by to visit, but was grabbed for a drug test immediately coming in the building.
Rey failed for amphetamines. No specific drug mentioned, and that's been the hold up. Rey says he has no idea what he failed for, but he was taking supplements and they were trying to figure out where it could've came from. Meltzer guesses it was a weight loss thing that caused the failure, but doesn't know. Rey was fighting the suspension, but the fight must be over if they finally announced it. I guess you don't want this on your record, but the suspension would be over by now if he just took it to start with.
WWE found out Rey failed the test back in mid February, which explains some stories around the time about Vince being unhappy with Rey. Rey was planning to return around June, but they called him this week and told him to aim for July.
Wait, hold up. You are saying keep this "unstoppable force at 3?" That is not going to work. I say keep it at 5 or 6. That way it will be a force. 3 guys don't make a force. Especially when you have HHH, Rock, Austin, Kane, UT, Angle, etc....
