So sayeth Dave Meltzer. Booker's relationship with TNA is apparently in tatters, and he's adamant his WWE options are open, while Umaga cancelled a photoshoot claiming that he was making an imminent WWE return.

Not sure about these two. Umaga's got more in the tank, and I really want to see what kind of crazy no-holds-barred match he and Undertaker could come up with. But Booker's a weird case. He's pushing on and I don't know where he'd fit in. As much as he'd hate it, he's be an EXCELLENT top star for ECW.

So here's what I want to know: Both of these guys had wellness violations when they left WWE. If they get hired back with new contracts, do they get a clean slate? Or is it a running tally of violations?

It's still uncertain. The current test case is Chris Masters.

This was apparently one of the reasons that Jeff Hardy went on hiatus, as he figured that under a new contract he could restart. It's less likely that it'll happen for him after his arrest, though.

Four words: ALL HAIL KING BOOKER!

I wasn't nearly done enjoying that character on Smackdown when they shafted him to RAW and he ended up leaving the company. I love to see King Booker back on Smackdown.

Umaga is a better fit for RAW, always was. He's been gone long enough now where rematches with Cena, DX, etc. would seem fresh. A gimmick upgrade, since he started talking before he left the company, would only help.

*Dangerously close to fantasy booking. I'll stop now.

I agree that Booker's last RAW run was enjoyable. The show had three kings (Booker, Hunter, and Lawler) when he left, and they were playing with that in small angles. Booker could immediately challenge any singles title holder upon his return.

That would be difficult, since they'd probably remember that he left the company on a being-forgotten-about-while-Oorton-punted-Mr.-Cena. (I think.)

Just a minor correction, but it was shoot interview, not a photoshoot. My mind was originally boggled by the thought of anyone wanting to do a photoshoot of Umaga.

And I can't imagine that quitting will reset your violation count. If it does, then I sincerely hope someone who returns dies, in the ring, on television, due to drug use, because that's probably the only thing that would actually bring about legitimate change and even that would be a stretch.

Really? That's morbid. If you feel like the biz is that bad, that you would hope somoone dies in the ring to bring about reform, maybe you should find a new interest.

The alternative would be to have dozens continue to die outside of the ring, so I don't really see it as morbid.

If we saw Jeff Hardy die of drug related causes in the middle of a live Raw, that might be the end of wrestling as we know it.

I tried to think of a witty comeback to point out how fucking stupid you are but words have failed me.

Think you guys are taking it a bit out of context. For nascar fans; look at the increased safety methods since 2001. They had 3 drivers killed on the track in the previous year; then the sports biggest star (Dale Earnhardt) gets killed in the biggest race (Daytona 500) and they can no longer ignore the need for a better protection system. And how many have been killed since then?

I think he was just saying that if wrestlers keep working loopholes like this, there needs to be a major disaster to make any major changes in the future.

You want to kill off the WWE? Simple. Have them do EVERYTHING I say. Hell, the production costs alone will dry them up in a week.
