This is getting out of hand. Just as he's on the verge of getting over and having the most interesting segments on RAW, Booker is put in a retarded lumberjack outfit and then buried in the cursed burial ground that is the nWo. What is it that JR has against this man that he forces such humiliation on the man?
WHY!? WHY!? WHY!? WHY!? DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! Would it have been to hard to have Booker get beat up by the nWo for losing and then have Booker help Austin at Judgement Day!? Would it really!? I mean come on! He should be a face! Why does everyone know this except the WWE!? This sucks!
(takes deep breath)
Oh...besides that, I thought Raw was pretty good.

HOLLY: How do you like me now?
COLE: You're a jerk Holly!
ME: (sigh) Cole ruins everything!
You know, I knew the newest member wasn't going to be Goldberg, but damn was I hoping it would happen. Or at the very least not just some randomly picked wrestler that was already at ringside. Oh well, I still love the Booker Man, and maybe he can bring something new to the table for the NWO.

AGREED. how the frick are you supposed to get the guy over in ANY fashion when you 1) don't play his entrance music 2) book him to lose his coming out match 3) don't let him get involved in the post-match beatdown.
Flair said he could not tolerate failure, so Book should have been beat down like Austin and cemented his babyface status.
Instead, Booker is booked as yet ANOTHER innefective member of the nWo. What a horrible way to end an otherwise damn fine show.
Hmm ... let's take the most consistently humorous and entertaining superstar on the Raw roster, and stick him in a dying stable with a) a guy who can't ever get any heat and hasn't sold a head butt in the entire time he's been in the WWE; (b) a guy who oversells everything and engenders nothing but ACTUAL hatred (for the man, not the character) from 99% of the fans; and (c) an old man who missed so many spots in his match with Hogan that I almost thought Hogan could actually wrestle tonight). A true heel can't be consistently funny like Booker -- how can you hate a guy who cracks you up every time you see him?
Hall's firing was the perfect opportunity to get rid of the NWO forever, but someone decided that it would be a better idea to stymie the rise of one of the best talents on the roster. I was hoping, hoping, hoping that Bossman would be announced as the new member, so the Toronto crowd could walk out during the match and force the WWE to rethink every friggin' mistake they have made over the last year or so.
I think the eventual face turn of Booker will work much better going against the nWo than Goldust. And this isn't like a depush for Bookerman. He is getting out of the comedy role and into a top level heel role. The man can do more than comedy well and now he can show that.
RIP The Rock's Show. April 29, 1999-April 4, 2002.
Even among the lumberjacks, there were about 5 other candidates who woulda done scads better than Booker.
BUT. . .as he was notably absent from the in-ring celebration by the nWo, maybe he's a reluctant member and they're going to expand the nWo into something other than "3-4 guys who annoy Steve Austin." Which would be swell because then they'd seem like a threat to everyone, which was kinda the whole point of the nWo thing in the first place. That, and to sell T-shirts.
When Booket joined did anyone else get a quick mental visual of Goldust showing up to Raw next week painted black and white instead of black and gold? Or maybe show up with the Jarret era nWo shirt with a gold logo?
I'm sorry that's the only thing I could think of to say that's not five paragraphs of anguish.
Perhaps this is the beginning of something better for Booker. Granted, joining the nWo isn't all that good of a start but hear me out. Who are his team mates..X-Pac (no mic skills, no true heat), Big Show (average mic skills, average heat) and Flair (awesome mic skills and awesome heat)..
There might be a good chance that Book is going to be the big heel leader of the nWo, guided by Flair. He is the only one that can carry them. Sure, they might be dead weight in some opinions, but still..Big Bad Booker T guiding Big Show to attack someone (gasp, didnt Show once help him when he was in the nWo?? now THAT is continuity!!) Big Bad Booker running down folks and destroying them, as the biggest heel on the show. Why is he the biggest heel? Who knows..Taker might beat Hogan..and they can use some good heels.
Now I am not saying that it will work out great, but it could..

I've got to go with the "Booker-as-reluctant-NWO-member" thesis. This could be a good thing: as pointed out above, it will be easier to turn against the NWO, and now, when he turns face, he can bring Goldust over to the good guys side with him, which would be too much fun.
Face Booker = great Face Booker + Face 'dust = GOLDEN!
Raw is heel-heavy anyhow, right now.
Everything I touch, starts to melt in my clutch........ I'm too much!
No offense guys, but were most of you actually watching the show last night?
1. Booker had a look of surprise after being "chosen" as the newest member of the nWo.
2. Jim Ross said as much, noting that Booker was not expecting to be picked.
3. At one point when Brock was attacking Austin, Booker made it known that he thought he could take out Austin without help from the lumberjacks.
Essentially, they are going a new direction with this slow eventual face turn of Booker T. Booker got the sympathy face pop after being forced into the lumberjack gear earlier in the night by Goldust. It's only a matter of time before Booker lets Flair and the nWo know that he isn't cool with them. Cue the beatdown and face turn. And then they can fire Goldust.

Quiet, you! You're supposed to be carrying on about how the WWF has ruined Booker forever, not thinking outside the box, logically, positvely or in sensible storyline terms!
You have one chance to redeem yourself. Try this: "Buried! Buried! Buried! Stephanie's fault! WWF SUCKS! Wrestling is ruined!"
His work, his moves, his matches are INCREDIBLY stale. You could pull at tape out of any of his matches post-Flock and find that he's doing the exact same moves he's doing today. (While in the Flock, he happened to scratch himself more.)
