| #1 Posted on 14.7.03 0048.46 | Instant Rating: 6.44 | Well, I caught the first episode of this weird series. It was fun to watch, but it truly was more entertaining to bet on the outcome of the various "Jackass" type stunts and contests.
I only went 3 for 8 on the contest outcomes. The best skit was the lady who asked one question to a celebrity (in this case Simon Cowell) and then stay silent. The question was about how long it would take for Simon to just walk away. Amazingly, he stood around for 77 seconds before leaving the "interviewer" (I had guessed that he would leave within 30 seconds).
All in all, it was a fun show and I will have to get some of my friends involved for next week to get some real betting going on. Did anyone else watch the show and join in on the fun?
Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

| #5 Posted on 14.7.03 0724.58 | If FOX is showing it, no doubt it's been heavily edited, as editions of the show I've seen (on CITY-TV) have featured full-frontal male and female nudity. There was one particular contest which asked, "Which one of these grandmas does porn?" and gave us the answer in a visual I still cringe about.
That being said, if you tape a bunch of episodes, and watch it with a group of friends while drinking, it's actually fun to bet on the different contests. Outside of "Lady One Question" the best contest is "Mr.Shake Hands Man", who will grab a celebrity's hand, and will continue to shake it as long as humanly possible before the celebrity breaks free(usually with the help of security). | DJ FrostyFreeze

| #7 Posted on 14.7.03 1039.35 | I thought it was good for a chuckle, but I think it is something that is not going to last very long at all- no staying power. The jokes will get tired, fast-
MEEC is indeed far funnier.

The piewife and I watched last night and we thought it was pretty entertaining. I have to agree with Pool-Boy though (I think that's a first) and think the shelf-life of this product is at best about six weeks.

| #10 Posted on 14.7.03 1800.14 | I think we watched this show in about 10 minutes, total. I had the TiVo recording the Simpsons on Pause when I went to get food, and this was left over at the end.
I love my Scientific Atlanta 8000.

Off topic here, but don't get it for your bedroom. The Maxtor (i've heard it's Maxtor, I didn't open it) makes a quiet clicking noise that you can only hear when the TV is off. Apparently there is no way to actually turn it off - or at least none that I've found. It automatically starts recording a lead time of whatever channel it's on.
Oh - it has picture in picture built in too. It's kind of annoying and sort of see through - but its there. It spools the PIP program too - so you can rewind if you saw something in the window and want to watch it again.
I'm glad I'm not paying for the hardware on this bad boy. The HD just can't live for that long with all of this spooling, can it?
I guess I'll see. I'm really happy with it already and I've only had it for a day.
