Bonds is hanging his entire being on that HR record. I just hope he realizes his worth isn't as high as it used to be and that a significant paycut will be coming his way. I am curious to see what kind a reception he'll recieve from the fans and from MLB in general as he approaches the record. Will the celebrate him or cut and run?

Rusty Shackleford is just the name he uses to order Pizza with.

I find it sickeningly ironic that the Giants' manager is talking about how important the makeup game is "for the integrity of the game [of baseball]", while having Barry Bonds, the #1 example of why baseball has very little integrity, on his team.

The Yanks do have a couple of very highly regarded catching prospects (baseballamerica.com) (Jesus Montero, J.R. Murphy, Austin Romine, and Gary Sanchez), so I'm unsure if I'd put the number at 100%, though it would seem to be a sensible consideration....
