I did not start watching this show until a few episodes ago (not coincidentally, it wasn't until I finally got DVR [is it "got DVR" or "got a DVR" there?]) I didn't give it a chance at first because the promos looked stupid to me. But I wish I had started watching sooner, because this show is so great. In tonight's episode, everything after the final commercial break was absolutely hilarious. I don't remember ever laughing out loud at something I saw on a TV sitcom like I did when Bob and Linda spoke over the store speakers and met at aisle five. Bob said "I'm on my way!" and I lost it.
This show is such a refreshing break from the Seth McFarlane-dominated lineup.
Plenty of writers start out planning a limited run for their work and then wind up expanding it as they write. I think Neil Gaiman originally planned on doing only 50 or so issues of Sandman (wound up going around 80)
