I can't believe this season's ending so soon. It's another awesome episode with Gene having a sasquatch phase. Loved the brief montage of Gene's past phases. Loved the whole Beefsquatch bit, especially at the party. And of course, the kerfluffle at the end sealed it. It's another winner. I love this show SO much!
Gene: Dad's hogging the bathroom, so I'm using the guest bathroom. Linda: Ugh...Gene... Gene: Come on, you let me do it before... Linda: Fine, but move the dishes! Louise: Ugh, Gene! That's MY spot! Gene: That's funny. It smells like MY spot. Asparagus. Tina: I've been using the toilet like an idiot.
Bob: I'm gonna make this show a living nightmare for you. Gene: You're gonna wish you'd never been born, meaning *I* wouldn't be born!
Bob: I'm trying to sabotage Beefsquatch and I need your help. Louise: Well, first of all, I'm flattered... Bob: Shush! Is there anything I can do to throw him off his game? Louise: Dynamite in the burger! Bob: More subtle. Louise: C4! Bob: Move off explosives. Louise: Habanero peppers, a lot of them. Bob: Yes! You're a genius! Louise: Oh, stop...
That last one, even though I didn't get the whole convo in, is why I love this show in a nutshell. Such twisted humor with a timeless family love added in. Bob and Louise doing the fake phone bit was genuinely cute.
Bob: ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??? Gene: A....little... Bob: Not you!
Only nine episodes? I demand MORE of this show!
I missed this show so much and it brought so much funny! And it's always a different kind of funny than what I'm used to from The Simpsons and all of the MacFarlane shows. And of course, the characters are all genuinely likeable and have a wonderful relationship with each other. They may be dysfunctional characters, but they're far from a dysfunctional FAMILY. And that means a lot these days.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't say that Louise is one of the best animated characters I've seen in years, with tonight being another prime example of why. If we lose her to cancellation after next year, it'll be a television tragedy.

"This is DIET Double Dew, Kyle! It only has half the caffeine and sugar of Double Dew!"
Finally got to see this episode. I have to say it wasn't the home run, I thought it would be, but it was still better than most if not all the Fox shows on Sunday. Its going to be a dark day when they canned this in exchange for Cleveland Show or another cartoon show that looks to be the drizzling shits. Looking at you Dynamite.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
the way this (behindbobsburgers.com) sounds it seems season 2 will continue in October. And they were working on 13 more episodes for season 3.
THIS SUNDAY’S EPISODE IS THE LAST NEW ONE UNTIL OCTOBER!!!
This Sunday will see the premiere of episode 9 of season 2 of Bob’s Burgers: “BEEFSQUATCH.” Thomas Lennon and Samantha Bee make guest appearances. Gene spreads his wings as an entertainer. Surprises abound.
Please enjoy this episode and clasp it to your bosom like a precious flower because it is THE LAST NEW ONE UNTIL OCTOBER! But don’t despair: there are still 13 episodes left in the season, and we’re currently hard at work on an ADDITIONAL 13 episodes for season 3, so we’ll be around, posting on this blog, enjoying your fan art, and giving away the occasional T-shirt.
In summary: watch “BEEFSQUATCH” this Sunday! Enjoy the reruns until October! And drop us a line at email@example.com!
Pretty much agreed all around. The characters on this show are really well developed. The relationships among Peter, Neil, Mozzie, and Elizabeth feel real; I was legitimately emotional when Peter and El were finally reunited.
