|  #1 Posted on 22.5.11 2259.09 | Instant Rating: 9.04 | Gene running in the mascot race was the easy highlight of this episode for me, just because the baseball-theme seems to be played out (both The Simpsons and Cleveland already went to baseball earlier this year). It was a decent show, but it wasn't the same kind of laugh riot that the earlier episodes were. But that dramatic music sting that came after Linda said "Rain Forest" was just great.
Gene: I won something! I won! I won! I won something!
Louise: Yeah, and you didn't fall down like everyone else. Tell THAT to your grandkids.
Gene: I will!
The first season started off with a thud, but the longer it went on, the funnier it got. It's crafted its own unique style, it's funny and unique, it has its own running gags (the random dramatic music stings will NEVER stop being funny!), and H. Jon Benjamin and Kristen Schaal both rule the universe as Bob and Louise. It deserves the second season it's getting and it'll be a long, impatient wait until next spring. A great start for Bob's Burgers and I hope that by this point next year, I'm talking about the show's pending third season and not its cancellation.

Bob - (off in the distance) IT'S BOB BURGERS GENE!!! BOB'S BURGERS!!!
Linda - A gold medal - we should get that bronzed!
Tina - Is it possible to be in love with 25 people at once?
Linda - Hey stop sniffing Torpedo's balls!
Bob - You don't hold it when you pee?
Fishodor - Why? It's not going anywhere.
Let's just say AA was A waste of time!
Tina - Are you nervous?
Gene - Why don't you ask my diarhea?
I really enjoyed this show and look forward to the DVD release (I assume there will be one).
Life is hilariously cruel.
